After Day 1 Competition, for any Juniors (yes, we are going to Juniors) who did not make day 2, we will be hosting a FREE Rochester Draft for these kids!

As always, thank you to PUI for your generous support of this event!

Thanks to all PTOs who end up donating small fun prizes for the competitors!

This is NOT a competitive event, no prizes for the winners, but prizes for all participants!

It is my statement that every Junior should end Worlds in a VERY positive way, and for a lot of these kids who have not Rochester Drafted, it is a great experience.

Staff volunteers are always appreciated.

This tradition is now in its 5th year!

See you all there!

Can you tell me how the Rochester draft works?

Vince, count me in! Well, count me as a volunteer and I'll probably have 1 or 2 Junior players with me. Are you looking for additional prizes?

Hi Vince,

I will be happy to donate a few goodies for you to give away, as I did last year for your Piggie draft at Nationals. See you in FL.

Back to back posts merged. The following information has been added:

Heather.....I'm going to make it a point to look for you in FL and say hello. I missed you altogether last year at Nats, and everytime I saw you this year, you were busy, so I didn't bother you....but in FL....I'm going to search you out.

Rochester Draft is a more sophisticated pass draft where the cards are laid face up from the packs, and players take turns choosing. Great experience.

Thanks to all!

Always looking for fun additional prizes.

Nothing way over the top. I would rather give out a ton of small items than a few big ones!

Vince

Thx Vince! So glad to hear PUI donated again to make a FUN event happen for the lil ones! I'll see what I can squeeze into the luggage to toss into the wonderful goodie pile you always have!

CHAW PIGLETS!!

Keith

char char...

Location will be TBA at Worlds.

WHen it is set to go, everyone will know.

I truly hope you do not get to participate.

If you make the top cut in Worlds, you are ineligible!

If you have a bad day, I hope to see you there.

If you are playing for the world title, GET YOUR REST!

Vince

Vince -- my plan was definitely for some small item type stuff.....it's got to fit in my luggage. I don't want to have overweight luggage and have to pay extra money!!

its either top cut or some draft with some other juniors. for those seniors and masters who want to play they will be other drafts also. so too bad u cant play in this cute little pink creature draft.

well vince, i'm planning on driving to the grinders, but if i don't make it, i'll be wanting to be part of the whole weekend. Maybe i can help you judge the piglet draft.

P.s. THIS IS BEN DOLAN!

Sounds like a silly question, does this draft include juniors that are at the event and are not playing in the the championships?

All Juniors are allowed to play.

All Worlds Players who did not make it into day 2...and...

Siblings who didn't make it in the Grinder, players who did not make it in the grinder.

The only requirement I have is that the kids know how to play. This is not a teach the game format.

There are so many kids, that knowing how to play the game is important.

That being said, they DO NOT have to know how to rochester draft. We will teach them there.

Some kids will have done it before, some kids will not have, but all will learn and have a great time.

NO PARENTS will be allowed to help kids make their decks. All kids will make decks all by themselves. I think that is important to this whole game. They will be given the usual hints, and guidelines, but I prefer that parents who help help pods that their kids are not in. The event is for the kids.

People from years past will attest, this is a fun great event, and I hope it is again this year!

Keep asking and commenting! See you all there!

Ben, I will respond when I have a few minutes, good to hear from you sir!
