I would think that sometime at the end of this week or the middle of next week ratings will be finalized and invites will be handed/sent out.

right after ratings are changed? for instence if the ratings were finalized the invites might be sent out tomorow?sweet. cya at worlds if u go drew. bring your GOODIES to worlds becuase i might want some other stuff. i got other stuff also.

According to our email I would have to say the answer to that question will be NO. It says "the competitor's information packet "..."and other important documents that must be completed and returned to Pokemon USA, Inc. prior to your attendance at the World Championships."

also....."players receiving these invitations must mail, email or fax verification of their intent to attend via travel receipts such as hotel reservations or travel itineraries no later than July 21st, 2008 or lose their seat in the event."

So I would say, get the information back to them asap if you want to play in this event.

The July 21st date also leads me to believe that the packets will be getting mailed pretty soon so people have the paperwork needed in time to get back to them also.

I am sure there are a few things like luggage tags that you would get to keep. I would expect that there is Luggage Tags again but I can't be certian.

you get the keep the luggage tag. It's not required to get into the tournament. By now you should have gotten an email invite. Then this week or so you should get some paperwork to fill out. You can email back right now, sending travel plans. We did that as we're going out of town and will probably miss the mailing deadline.

as for the tournament, I think you just show up, your name will be on a list. I don't recall POP ever asking for i.d. of any sort. . . . but you need to have your paperwork or email sent in or you won't be on the list and your spot will be in the grinder.

We are looking forward to Florida!

What if someone if someone is driving down there with someone and sharing a hotel. I don't see anyway to prove that and that s what I may be doing.

......also maybe a note from the adult who is "paying for" or who has "reserved" the hotel room and is providing the transportation with contact information ie: with their address and a telephone # so if POP wants to verify that so and so is going to be a passenger and stay with them at said hotel they can contact the adult making those arrangements....I think all it would take is an email and/or fax. I'd say the more verification you can provide them, the less questions there will be and it will be easier for everyone all around with no questions.
