Empoleon - Main attacker. Get off early Dual Spalshing like T2-T4 and just wreck your opponent's bench. Surf Together can be used to finish off big hitters

Bronzong - Secondary hitter. Cursed Alloy + Pain Amplifier works great on decks that rely heavy on Powers...such as PLOX . He can also be a great stall cards with either 0 energies while you build up a bench or put a dent in G&Gs with Coating.

Claydol - Pretty obvious. Adds great consistancy and draw power.

Dusknoir - A decent tech against mirrors because it limits Surf Together's base damage, but he provides good distruption against most any deck.

Mew* - Another good card against mirrors which is probably the biggest deck in the format right now. Gives a nice 20 spread for only one energy. He can copy starters and with Holon's Castform he can copy a lot of big hitters (aka Gallade).

Chatot - Potential starter and good way to abuse your Scrambles.

Holon's Castform- Adds a nice new dimension to the deck by being able to get an energy with Bebe's. Works great with Mew* and comes in handy when you need to get a DRE off of Empoleon.

ANY good emp-zong has 3-4 scramble, you would do soooo much better with them

-1castfrom
-1 call

+2 scramble!!!

4 is needed!

and you neeed! to run lake boundry, i beat a magmortar by doing 200 damage to what ever he brought up for 5 turns! o.0 and lake+scramble+coating=120 to gallade, and if you spread at all that's a kill...
you will see the fun in this if you play it right!

4 Scrambles, but i don't know if you could make the Cut with Empozong with Plox and other good decks out there. Bronzong is an easy target with Gardy sW and Lake Boundary.

Bronzong is an easy target with Gardy sW and Lake Boundary.

That works both ways .

In fact, it might be worth finding room for a Lake Boundary. It can counter Crystal Beach and helps against GG and Fire decks (Magmortar/Infernape).

yes, but you are right, it can back fire. But Empoleon decks don't run DRES, so the opponent has to knock out Pokemon first to activate Scramble. If this deck played Empoleon, their Scramble would never get activated becasue there is so much damage spread, as with GG, becasue they keepp on Sonic Balding you until everything is damaged. If the active pokemon has more than enough HP, they Psychic Lock you so that Claydol doesn't work and you are rendered useless.

actually you can tell from many of the reports on here, that they DO run DRE.
Lake boundary is a good play imo
