Where to buy an Ipod Nano (first gen)?

I got one when it first came out but it broke so I returned it and got a refund. Now I want to buy another one because I don't have very many songs (I only want a 1GB one) and I'm tired of lugging around a cd player. Does anyone know where I can find one, from somewhere you know is reliable?

You can get them on eBay for $40 to $50 (after looking at completed auctions, that's what I saw). And eBay is reliable because you'll almost always be able to get your money back if something goes wrong as long as you use paypal.

1GB i think is 16 songs and i always see some at target and walmart, i got my ipod from there and its reliable.

1 GB is not 16 songs when dealing with formats like mp3 and mpeg-4 audo and the other similar option... its approximately 250 songs of average length and quality... But no way is he going to find an iPod model about three years old at a major retailer. Pretty much the only option is used, or get the latest model new.

why don't you try craiglist....just make sure you try it out and meet in a very public place like in a bank or busy coffee shop

^ wow, I found a really good deal on a 32 GB iPod touch in my local area... $300!

But then you'll see some crazy prices like $100 for a 1 Gig nano without headphones and cable!

So you never know what you'll find... but I don't like the idea of having tomeet the seller in real life...

I suppose I'll try eBay...the only other place I found was the Apple store, where they were selling refurbished Ipods, but they were sold out.

The only easy way is Ebay now, due to its age. I bought a new iPod Nano 3rd Generation 4Gb at Wal-Mart for $149.95 plus Tax.

Back to back posts merged. The following information has been added:

1GB i think is 16 songs ....

It depends on the song's length. Most of my songs are on average about 4:10 - 4:30 in length and I have 375 songs that add up to 20.1 hours and take up 1.52 GB of space.

Aw man, I already bought one off ebay lol. Oh well. Hopefully it will work and I won't have to go through the mess of getting my money back.

Yeah, I've bought a lot of sensative electronics off eBay like two DS lites, two GameCubes, and a PSP slim, and I've never had any problems with those... But one time I got my dad a portable cassette player and it was busted, but luckily PayPal is on the buyers side almost every time and I got his money back. I just bought an iPod on eBay today too (luckily it came with free shipping insurance)..... from a guy with zero feedback :biggrin: lets hope luck is on our side!!!!
