Excellent card. Makes nonexistent decks possible, and existing decks faster. There is nothing like T2 Claydol from this, and Call Energy paired with this makes for an excellent setup for the start of a game.

9.8/10

Its a good card but i sometimes over look this for pachi :nonono: i would say this would be a staple for t2 decks taht need the stage 2 9/10

It's a great card for almost any deck. If you start out right it can make stage 2 decks come out about just as fast as stage 1 decks. Since it can evolve any bench pokemon that turn getting claydol out fast is very possible with this card. Though it only has 60 hp so it will not stay the active pokemon for long. It has weakness to electric which is not too bad since it's only +10. Of course it has no resistance and it has 1 retreat cost which is a normal cost for a basic pokemon. It's also has a second attack that requires 2 water so of course this attack will only be used as a last resort for water decks. If you are lucky they will stay asleep but most likely they will wake up and kill this thing so only use it for it's first attack which I stated above how awesome it is.

I give this card a 8/10 it's an awesome starter for most decks. Though with out the right start this card usefulnesses is gone.

Phione is quite a solid utility card. Once you have your basics on the bench you can build from there. Don't forget this doesn't have to be for just stage 1s.

Water Pulse is decent attack as well. But since Phione's first attack requires only colorless energy, it can go any most deck.

78% goodness out of 100!

After playing this in my past 9 decks, This card has mostly slowed the deck down. It gives your opponent time to power up their pokemon and dominate the game. I don't like this card one bit. I'd never run this in a T1, T2, or T3 deck, somehow, this card helps deck like starter decks who only have 1 or 2 evolution.

Well, let's take a look at this super-hyped card.

Stats-wise, it's actualy pretty lousy. only 60 HP and a 10+ weakness means it will only get about 2-3 turns of use.

Now Evolution Wish is the big incentive. The ability to evolve one of your benched is pretty useful, especialy in decks with only 1 main line, or decks where the evolution lines are purely balistic. In otherwords, not the best in your average deck.
But you also need to concider if its worth it getting Pokemon through an attack, instead of Trainers. Trainers are useful the whole game, but a Phione isn't. And even the benched aren't safe...

Watter Pulse is also good, but I bet it won't see much use since a.)most Phione decks aren't water and won't stock :water: energy, and b.)you don't want to waste energy and an attack when you've got a move like Evo-Wish. But 30 and Asleep is very good for :water::water:. It would see more use on any other card.

But I think the hype needs mentioning here. This is a good card, but we are seeing a repeat of what happened with Pachi GE. 1 or 2 as Tech in something with lots of Basic-Searchability, or 4 in the right deck is one thing, but "I need 4 Phione for any deck!" is way overdoing it.

I would give it a 8.5/10, for a wonderful setup move, and a good attack. But low HP and limited use in late game work against this card.

I tend to agree with the others who just haven't gotten it to work. It LOOKS like a great card and good addition to many decks but I have found that it tends to slow down my decks. If I am not lucky to start with it then it is almost impossible to get it early with Roseanne's or Call Energy or a ball without it being very detrimental as I have to waste an energy to retreat my current active to get Phione active and then I have to spend an energy to use its attack and finally I either sacrifice it or retreat it to the bench where it becomes snipe bait. I'm sure that it is a good fit in many decks though but it isn't for everyone or every deck. 7/10

I did a thread with that point quite a while ago. It's a good card, don't get me wrong, but it dosn't work with everything, and it definatly has its shortcomings.

If you ask me, this is currently (IMO) one of the best cards in the format. Phione with a call energy is deadly and makes any deck twice as fast. It dies? oh, then use Scramble Energy (sadly going away...) Probably the...3rd? best card in the format

9.5/10

I actually think this card is bad for setup, but I tech in one or two in all of my decks, because it helps setting up late-game, and stops the mid game "crash."

Although, I do wish Wally's Training were still legal.

9/10.

This card is awesome I can't beleive so many people are putting it down. People who put it down suck.

11/10:thumb:

That's a bit rude.

This card dosen't deserve THAT much praise. 60HP, an attack that evolves for 1 energy, can't skip
stages, 1 retreat. Good but not THAT good.

Modified HP-on 10/10. Nice for sacrificing and activating scramble along with setting up.
Modified DP-on 7/10 No more scramble, eh?
Unlimited:0/10. We've got Jirachi HL and Wally's.

Why is Jirachi HL better?

Seems worse to me. Same effect, but places a counter and x2 weakness. What is so much better about that?

Well, I do hope this card gets better when the new season rolls around. I thought it was going to be a totally popular beast card thats as wanted on the gym as Claydol was. Great starter, but its pretty muchly failed this season. Heres to hoping it will make a comeback....

This year: 6/10
