Another good starter? IFDS

The new Farfetch'd in the diagla deck being able to retrive any sort of trainer, supporter, or stadium seems like this could be another great starter to accompany Sablye

LV.29 – Colorless – HP70
Basic Pokemon

[C] Fetch: Search your deck for 1 Trainer, Supporter, or Stadium card, show it to your opponent, and put it in your hand. Shuffle your deck afterward.
[C] Fury Cutter: 10 damage. Flip 3 coins. If 1 is heads, this attack does an additional 10 damage. If 2 are heads, this attack does an additional 20 damage. If all 3 are heads, this attack does an additional 40 damage.

Weakness: Lightning (+20)
Resistance: Fighting (-20)
Retreat: 1

Any thoughts of the new starter and all the other broken cards in IFDS

That actually wouldn't be bad with Call Energy, however, I think Sableye is a better starter in itself just because it pulls the supporter out then uses it. But, this could easily come in second as a decent starter.

ya those were my thoughts but in psychic/grass decks getting miasma vlley out t2 could be deadly

Stadium

Whenever either player plays a Basic Pokemon card (excluding Grass-type and Psychic-type Pokemon) from his or her hand onto the Bench, place 2 damage counters on that Pokemon.

You can play a Stadium card next to your Active Pokemon 1 time during your turn. If a Stadium card with a different name is put into play, discard this card.

This would be the prefered starter sinc eu can get either Stads/Trainers/Suppot,I know u can use it,but it has to have some drawback to be able to get Candies/Misma Valleys/etc. This fits so well as a starter in any deck besides Scizor.

Pokeblower+ FTW

ok I will pull a stadium, candy, or bebe I am now setup while you struggle. I like this card.

But with Sableye, you use it. It is out of your hand, no worries.

With this card, it A) Takes a colorless energy, and B) They can Wager you, therefore making you waste a turn.

Yep Sableye is the best starter imho, yet, because it's attack can be all that you want, as long as you've got wager, bebe or roseanne, it's worth the attack. Plus it also has a very decent attack for a basic pokemon.

Cheers,

If nobody is setup then they wont wager, and we got a card like Admin/Metagross Ex PK in Girantinia(dont know how to spell it)

Either is good but bein able to search for a candy or a stad along with a supporter is great and wont be passed up on.

I like it. A Stantler and Budew combined + stadium-searching. Should definately be interesting to play around with.

Actually, with Call energy basics played to bench straight from the deck, this doesn't seem too devastating in early game. That is, if you draw that call energy...

Still, Farfetch'd seems like a decent starter and viable option in some decks.

With Sableye, you discard the Supporter, and if they Wager you, you lose the supporter (in the discard) and the cards that you draw/search (in the deck). With Farfetch´d you lose the Trainer/Supporter/Stadium (in the deck) only, and you can search it the next turn,

Possible with Rare Candy/Luxury Ball/Roseanne's. Grab the one you don't have and candy afterwards to setup Claydol. Might work, might not. Something like:

You go first and search {Card A} with Farfetch'd.
Next turn, you play {Card A} and {Card B} you opened with and search with luxury ball and play a supporter.
Third turn something like Kingdra can be setup with a Claydol, perhaps searched for with the trainer grabbed last turn.

Where Card {A,B} are searchable by Farfetch'd, and you have one of them in your opening hand and grab the others. Cards such as Luxury Ball, Bebe's or the things they pull like baltoy or Claydol.
