ok so ive been really intrested in building a deck with garchomp since after nationals, since im not going to worlds this year, and decided to build it finally. It has a few bugs to fix out but otherwise it runs great.

4 gible
2 gabite
3 garchomp
1 garchomp lv x
2 baltoy
2 claydol
3 phione
1 ampharos
1 gallade
1 chatot

4 rare candy
4 felicity's
4 bebe's
4 roseanne's
1 lake boundary
2 plus power
2 warp point
1 Nm
1 premier ball

3 fighting
3 lightning
3 fire
3 water
2 metal
3 psychic

Edits:
took out a psychic for chatot

so what does everyone think? stratagy is to get out garchomp quick, get the right energys for his body, and OHKO almost anything. Its worst matchup is probably Eeveelutions because of the umbreon giving the eeveelutions no weakness. This is the reason i decided to go with gallade for restoring. Using felicity's to discard him and psychic and fighting energy, he takes a few prizes against it. Ampharos is in the deck to counter all of the kingdra decks and to help spread with garchomps power. Any suggestions?:biggrin:

- gallade
- 1 phione
- 1 roseannes
-1 Warp

+ 1 Gardeviour
+1 NM
+1 Unknown Q
+1 Rotom MD

I Would also try Find Space For An Empoleon for Restor and chatot for bad starts

Try not to put in more then 1 0-0-1 line, as you don't want to waste time discarding alot of them and then rebirthing them, Since you leave your level-X open to attack. Once IFITDS comes out, you'll want to add in a quite a few dark eergy, but for now the energy line is fine.

i may try empoleon insted of gallade. Gallade seems to work well for me though, and there isn't a lot of fire around right now. and yes i will add 2 dark energy after that set comes out.

0-0-1 Lines are always a risk when playing Garchomp. I've personally found that I have hardly used my one 0-0-1 line ever. Go with a 1-0-1 line if you want a tech....

1-0-1 Ampharos is good. Bronzong is pretty cool to, as he spreads for [.] and Cursed Alloy is good.

yes but then if i resurect bronzong he doesnt really need the energy, plus i want gallade to help with things like eevees and torterra. im not fond of playing a 1-0-1 because of starting with that baisic. as far as ive seen having just the 0-0-1 works fine and doesnt really get in the way.

i was thinking about teching a 1-1 palkia lv x to bring up the umbreon and kill it.

Right now, in my Chomp, I play 1-1 Bronzong and 0-0-1 Ampharos. It works pretty well.

I'm playing the basic of Bronzong for the sole fact that he doesn't need Energy. That way I don't need to waste a restore to bring him to the field.

ahh ok i may try that. and i was also thinking about adding 1 ralts.

The only thing about playing the techs I'm using is that my Garchomp is a Spread Varient. Based around Kabutops to inflict Bench Damage.

Those two (Bronzong and Ampharos) help me in that respect. Since you are playing a more Garchomp-Centered list, maybe Gallade is a better tech.

alright, we can help eachother out with the garchomp decks, and i tried a more spread version of it but i wasnt to sure about it. i did try it with amphy/kabutops but no bronzong in my first attempt. let me know what i can do.

If you'd like to try spread, I can give you some tips.

I run a 3-1-2-2 Chomp with 3-2-3 Kabutops and 1-1 Bronzong and 0-0-1 Ampharos (and obviously 2-2 Claydol)

Right now, I hardly use the Amphy, so I may either take it out, or add in a Mareep for easy access.

Anyway, that'll give you a starting point for playing spread. (just watch out for Torterra. It's a pain with Healing and SSU's)

Why not make a line of the Gallade and have Telepass as a setup option?

1 Ralts
1 Gardevoir
1 Gallade

not a bad idea...ill take it into consideration. looks a lot like this is a popular choice so im gona try it.

and yea ill watch for torterra, i have it built right now and its probably one of the best decks i have right now.
