Mamoswine (Legends Awakened, 9/146) stands tall and proud in its Pokémon TCG debut, poised ready for action in a striking pose illustrated by Kouki Saitou. Mamoswine is a Stage 2 Pokémon with 140 Hit Points and two devastating attacks in its arsenal. Ice Fang slices the opponent for 40 damage, and with the proper coin flip result, it could both Paralyze the foe and allow you to discard an Energy card from the Defending Pokémon. Its Charge Through attack will hit for 60 damage, and it gives you the option to inflict 40 more damage and 40 damage to 1 of your opponent's Benched Pokémon if you choose. The downside? Mamoswine will do 40 damage to itself. Mamoswine has a significant weakness to Metal-type Pokémon, but other than that, this mammoth Pokémon is one tough tank to take down.

Is that the first ever +40 weakness Pokemon?

Mamoswine's attacks are just too expensive in a format without DRE/Scramble.

No, Bastiodon/Charizard have +40 weakness.
Also, Weavile/Darkrai anyone?
130 to the active 40 to a benched pokemon.

Holy cow....is this broken or what?

Doing 140 a turn, while doing 40 to yourself? Not bad, could go 2-2 w/this thing.

It's the cards that damage themselves that make me wish Berry, Oran berry, Gold Berry and maybe Sitrus Berry were reprinted

they keep revealing bad cards

My exact thoughts. Nothing has been "shocking" yet. I personally want to see one of the Lv. X. I think I would be happy with anything but Uxie, Mesprit, or Azelf. :thumb:

However, if they did released one of those 3, I wouldn't be "that" upset.

Well, there is potion, and in the set after this (Japan's DP6) we should get PokeHealer +. But I would like to see Gold berry- it'd make healing more useful again.

It's one of those "meh" cards. You can't say it's good or bad. It will see play, but it won't be unbeatable. If DRE/Scramble were still legal it would be alot better. metal will probably be a more common type, though still not that common. Could've been grass

Those were the days...
Did you even play in those days?

Dunsparce Fan, you don't seem to understand the difference between the cards you've named and the cards I've named. The Berries activate between turns. So, my Pokemon does damage to itself, then the berry removed damage before my opponent's turn. I could attack, do 40 damage to myself, then heal 20 damage immediately afterwards, so my pokemon goes into my opponent's turn with only 20 damage.
Potion, etc, is used on your next turn. So, my pokemon takes 40 damage, then has to go into my opponent's turn with that 40 damage and have to withstand my opponent's attack before I get a chance to heal it.

I like the card. Sure, the enenrgy costs are high, but the advantage of energy removal is nice, when the flips are going your way. Plus, how many ppl play metal anyway (on the weakness). I know the 'Zone is coming in an X form, but what else? Scizor?

Well I like it because it's cool!

However it is nice because of the HP, but the second attack imho isn't all that great, it is a nice 2hko'er but while ice fang is good it;s flippy...

Honestly I think it will do great with empoleon and some togekiss tech in it, al that benched damage plus it has resistance vs electric :O!

It is one of those meh cards. I think it's OK, but not worth running.
