because the potential for T2 60 and 20 to the bench while slowly powering up it's 1st attack for big tanks makes it so deadly, it can out speed alot of things, however that does not make it unstoppable, it can have a hard time vs. plenty of things, but the fact of sheer speed will make it good and alot of people will play it, for some reason...=P

not just T2. It can possibly get T1 going 2nd. If they don't use call energy T1 and they have less than 70 hp you win

True. Luckily all the Kingdra hype will be lost with the release of IFDS, so we only have to worry about it for about 3 months next format...

...annndddd that is where you are wrong. Kingdra can work wonders, we just don't want to admit it because then we fear it will become like GG/Plox, but Kingdra will never be like that.
Like i said in an earlier post, Kingdra is good, but not unbeatable

Kingdra's good, but it won't last for long.
It'll prolly do well at BRs then fade away once IFDS come out.
It's WAY too overhyped. I ain't sayin it's a bad card, BUT there are a lot of viable choices in this upcoming metagame and Kingdra is only one of them.

Kingdra is such a good card and can beat a lot of decks just there are some counters and those counters just kill kingdra too easily. It won't win much because it's not even close to being the play for the BRs but it is one of the best cards I've ever seen.

Yup, that card is GOOD. Froslass is definitely one of the best cards in the set.
BUT, with all this spread stuff roaming around, Gyarados is looking better and better.
I just built a deck around it and it seems very viable because OHKOs won't be as big next year, and your opponent just sets up for heavy damage the more they try to spread.
when i first read about kingdra i thought it was going to be great but the more i have thought about it the more skeptical i have become. its attacks are cheap but easily teched against (mr mime anyone?). and if nothing else for that reason alone it will influence the metagame, but in the long run i think empoleon will prove to be the better water guy. don't get me wrong, it's good, but just not great.

Kingdra's awsome, and its not a bad card, no matter what you say. But it will not hold out the entirety of the new season, unless there is some beast combo thought up for it to go with. I'm confident it will start winning tournaments as soon as the new season kicks off, but it will probably be gone before States, atleast, IMO. Again, great card, gonna get played a lot, but it won't win Worlds.

Even I am getting tired of these threads, and I think Kingdra is pretty laughable.
Sometimes in life you just need to let people think what they want to think, even if it means you have to beat them in a tournament at some point. No big loss, right?
