what to do about mewtwo lx?

I made this really great deck. It uses all basics. It doesn't have any trouble with most decks, but mewtwo lx will destroy it. What do I do? Tech against it or just hope I don't play it? I don't have much room in the deck.

Mewtwo X is not a great tech or deck.

You shouldn't worry about it too much

Run a 1-0-1 Metagross line and a 1-0-1 Dusknoir line to get rid of the threat.

Mightymena is good, but the other god Tech is... Mewtwo Lv.X???

You can create quite a standstill by sending it up. You can prepare all your benched, then either Warp Point it, or wait untill they get a call for halting progress (at least, I think the one with evolved would get that all. Does any judge know?).

There is no game rule that states you have to attack, you can pass without attacking and leave your Mewtwo level X active vs your opponents active Mewtwo Level X. Eventually one player will deck and that will end the game, but most likely one player will play a warp point and win that way when time is called.

Or perhaps the other player plays evolutions and totally owns the opposing Mewtwo, thus saving his own and winning the game.

Mightyena sounds good though.

These are just 1 example depending on the energy you use

Deck with :water: energy - 1-1 or 2-2 Froslass (LA)

Deck with :fire: energy - 1-1 or 2-2 Ninetails (MT)

Deck with :grass: energy - 1-1 or 2-2 Venamoth (SW) - can't think of any better

Deck with :fighting: energy - Really no good stage 1 pokemon with a cheap attack (2 energy or less)

Deck with :lightning energy - 1-1 or 2-2 Manetric (MD)

Deck with :psychic: energy - There are a lot so just use ur imagineation

Yet no matter what energy you use you could always tech in 1 Regice

Umm Lucario 30 damage to anyone I think that counts as a :fighting: Stage 1 with a good cheap attack

Right. I was thinking of the ruling of if they both had a Claydol or something.
But it still is an alternative, so long as you play lots of WP...

your not going to be able to "Deal With" a mewtwo LvX in an all basic deck, with the "exception" of warp points, and those are 4 trick ponys, max. If your really afraid of it your going to have to run an evolution,

I say play Mewtwo lv. X yourself and have a stall fest.
So just tech in 2 Mewtwo Majestic Dawn and 2 Mewtwo lv. X, whoever sets up faster wins.

The reason why i didnt mention lucario was cuz he has :psychic: weakness... i mean if you feel lucky graver (or however you spell his name) from MT could be okay... :fighting::colorless then flip till you get tails...for each heads 30 damage

Ummm Machamp from IFDS with one Fighting doesn't knock out ANY basic? Bubble Coat, for weakness...

You run AMU and want a counter to the AMU counter?

Warp point.

It's not amu. Wish I could post the list, but I think I found something really good.

What about using speed deoxys? 30 damage to any pokemon for 2 colorless, and that damage isn't effected by bodies. 2 hit ko mewtwo lx, but the problem is that deoxys has x2 psy weakness...
