Hi everybody I,m new here and I was wondering if anybody knows what something like this might be worth.My son pulled this card out of a booster pack.. Magmortar lv X card'' non holo'' anyone have any idea?
unsure how to post pics
 
Its not fake It came out of a brand new deck ....can you tell me how to post a pic so I can show it ...Thanks

The pack it came from could of contained all fake cards or just a fake Magmortar.
Just because it's English doesn't mean it's going to be a genuine copy.
I'll post a link once I find it how to tell the difference between fakes and a real copy
 
Booster packs and decks are two different things. ALL LV X"s are holo so if yours is non holo then IT IS FAKE.
 
Guys I,m telling you I,m looking at the card I cant see how it could be fake,it came out of a brand new pack
If its a fake can someone tell me how to spot it,and how do people get fake cards in a new pack

Where did you get it -_- Level X's are ALWAYS holo. No misprints have ever occurred. Read the guide to distinguish the difference.
 
my son was at a birthday party and all the kids received a pack of boosters..
now that Im looking at it closely the color on the back of the card is a little lighter than another level x holo that we have.how do they get fake cards into these packs

They don't "get" fake cards in packs... they are fake packs with fake cards in them. Magmortar LV.X is a VERY common card that is faked, and it always seems to be done in non holo. You probably have loads of fake cards if you couldn't spot this one. All the other cards in that pack were fake too! (I know the packs look really realistic, but if you compare them side to side there are slight differences... also they don't always have cards from the set listed on the wrapping as in the pack)

Once you deal with these cards enough, spotting the fakes becomes second nature. Even fakes have a grittier texture.

Watch out for packs that cost $1 especially.

I recommend going through the collection and looking for more fakes :thumb:
