A question about Event Download

Soo.....I'm going to a Pokemon Day in Walibi World in the Netherlands and you can get Darkrai there.

The thing is, the site where you can find info about the event says that you need the European version of the game to download it.

I find it pretty weird since the DS games don't have any kind or form of region lock.
Or does Pokemon D/P has a built in security for these events?

So please, can anyone help me with this since I have the American version of the game instead of the European 1.

Your are right in, the Cartridges do not have region locks, but events are usually designed for the particular region. I'm not 100% sure. I'm pretty sure that my US Diamond wouldn't be able to get any of the Japanese events.

Whens the event?

Yesterday I visited a Darkrai download event in the UK using my American game. Darkrai didn't need a passport because he IS DEATH.

The Pokemon Day is in the weekend of 30 and 31 of August in Walibi World in the Netherlands.
There is alot to do for PokeFans like me. Like the the Darkrai movie beeing shown for the *hackcough* first time in Dutch and Pokemon TCG ofcourse.

But HOW can they Design Pokemon to be Region Specific???

Back to back posts merged. The following information has been added:

Uhm, no, not really. Dusknoir is the only known Pokemon that has ties with Death. Thoguh I get your joke...I think....

We had someone illegally download the cartridge the people in Japan used to get Shaymin(The master cart, the one everyone in the whole room has to use Mystery Gift with..) and they had no trouble getting it. I didn't do it, but others did.
