i think poke worlds should be held in PITSburge, just for the lolz...

but seriously, it wouldnt cost exceedingly more to have the worlds in a different country. considering they're a multi-million pund buisness... whats 3 plane rides for the top 3 big cheeses in PUI??? they still have to pay for venue hire either way as well, and i seriously doubt their giant torchics and pikachu's etc. are made in US so shipping still costs...

tbh, 3rd of the world hates america (thats actually fact) abd i think it has something to do with things like this, things that make americans stereotypically up themselves and luvin themselves! hmm...

Pika, I agree on this one. I don't even think I want to touch this. It seems that other countries are taught to learn that we are the bad guys, when we are really far from it.

Yay San Diego!!!! It's only a 7 or 8 hour drive, and I don't need to pay for a hotel!!! :)

It really does make sense to have Worlds in USA though. Hawaii is a little bit of a stretch, but everything else is fairly manageable for US players (which is the largest player base). The trade-off between Florida and Cali makes it pretty much equidistant for European and Japanese players.

It sucks that there aren't something Gym Challenges for Japan and Europe though. They could take away some spots from the LCQ to accommodate for it, and it would practically be an LCQ for those players. Then they don't have to spend a fortune trying to grind in.

I think it makes sense for families imo. Why would a mom or dad want to fly out to some random city just like the one she/he just came from? If I was a parent, I'd want something to do at least. Places like California and Florida are major hot spots and are full of things to do. Both have huge parks, beaches, etc. I can understand why they don't want it anywhere else. Europe would be cool though(England, France) or maybe in Japan for kicks. Other than that, I don't see why they would break the trend.

may i just clear up before people start hating... this is not my personal oppinion. ive been to florida a lil bit and its okay, but this is how you are portrayed, even by americans (family guy/ american dad much?)

but be honest, its not like americans dont stereotype wrongly, guarantee any american directed movie with a character whos a bit of a nutcase has the nutcase as being english... in all honesty, i dnt really care.

but no matter how much you 'dont want to even touch this' this is true. like just the other day me and my mate was watching cloverfeild, and we had to laugh when the millitary man told them that they were gonna just nuke manhatten. same with AVP: requiem, its like anything the american millitary cant handle... they nuke it!

just so you know how you are portayed by the rest of the world.

PS: i am actually part american by blood, and english, irish greek etc.... so any offence to any of those countries ive just given... get over it im part them by blood anyway.

I'd have to disagree heartily with this. You can easily make a week out of any metro area over 3 million in this country.

Anyone who uses movies and tv shows to know what a country is like is an idiot.  (not saying you are, just those out there who do)

In all fairness we tend to stereotype you guys(mostly upper class) as being snobs.:tongue:
