How do you get a custom avatar?

unfortunatelly, the only way to get a custom avatar is to wait for the next custom Avvy day. We just had one, so the next one may not be for quite some time. Also you need to be a good person on the gym, just post good material and wen custom avvy day comes, you may get the chance to upload one.

No, better yet how about whenever someone tries to start a new topic with the word "avatar" in it, a little popup will appear before it is posted with all the information from the top secret hidden FAQ page giving them the option to post the thread or cancel it
That would definitely solve the problem right?

Not really. Just because avatar is in the thread, doesn't mean they're asking the same question. What I don't get is why people don't do what I did when I was new, and just look up the FAQ on it, and then accept the results.
Mew*, maybe you heard something I didn't, but I don't know if its necessarily in the fall. But there will be one before the end of the year, that much is garunteed, so just be patient, and be sure and have less than 30 unexpired infraction points(preferably none) when the time comes, and you can upload your very own (clearly pokemon related) avatar.
