Dear PokéGym,

As you know, another season of Pokémon is over. We've all played hard, and had fun. We now have 3 more World Champions. Tristan R., Dylan L., and Jason K. Every year, we another season comes and goes. I would just like to take this time to say thank you to everyone. Thank you to PUI, for working so hard, so we can have fun. For all the time they use for us. They exhaust themselves every year at Nationals and Worlds. But do they complain? No. They indeed do not ramble on about how we should be grateful to them. They spend days preparing every year. Seconds, minutes, hours. Thank you PUI for taking so much time out of your life to help US. Second of all, I would like to thank the crew at Nationals and Worlds this year. You made my first experience at Nationals and at Worlds some of the best in my life. I thought that it was awesome, how every few minutes, they would just give things away. The judging in Juniors was spectacular and was up to par. Every single one of the people that helped Pokemon setup for the two largest events helped tremendously. I think that we take it for granted of how much they work for us so we can enjoy Pokemon. The translators at Worlds were also so helpful. They made playing something you enjoy with other people around the World pleasurable and less chaotic. Thank you. I would also like to thank the judges. The judges help us in time of need. They help us when we have questions and need help. Sure, we have sour grapes for judges, but you have to understand, they are also human. They make mistakes, and learn from them. The judges, every single one of them, contributed to this community. Thank you judges. But one of the most important group of people I have to thank are the players of Pokemon. YOU. It is you that make people happy. You have to make the correct choice. Pokemon isn't just about winning our losing. It is about trying your best, and helping others. If you play a kid in Battle Roads who is ignorant about Pokemon, help then. Teach them more. Don't just destroy them and leave. Spirit of the Game is in my opinion, the most essential and important of Pokemon. You may be the best player in the World, but that wouldn't matter if you were snobby, and arrogant. You have the power to make things better. And I have to say, everyone I played this season had tons of SOTG. Thank you, players. Thank you for helping me become a better player. But before I conclude this, there is one final thing to thank. Thank you PokéGym. Thank you for helping me in my struggles and pains. PokéGym isn't just where people post decks and talk about Pokemon. It is a place where we help each other all become a better Pokémon player. But not only that. To become a better person. You probably don't realize it, but it's not one person that helps you become who you are. It is everyone that does. It is how you interact, and how you work with others. Your struggles are your gains. Realize that. And with that said....

A few personal people I would like to thank....

-The PUI Crew (You guys are the BEST:thumb:)
-The PokeGym mods (I've learned a lot... I realize I may not have a good start with you with so many warnings,,, Take this as an apology.)
-The North East Crew (North East.... Everyone is awesome and soo nice. Thanks guys!)
-The Natto brothers ( I remember when I first met you guys.. That was an amazing moment)
-The Tam Family (Whenever I needed cards, you always let me borrow from you guys)
-The Chong family (You guys are always supportive!)
-Michael D. (I remember when we met on Gym... We became good friends after Regionals =)
-Johnathan H. (For always helping me and supporting me)
-Peter F. (One of the coolest friends I have)
-Thomas A. (For having a lot of SOTG, and for being awesome when he beat me in Top 2 States)
-Rob G. Jr. (I admire him... Such a young and amazing boy.. Was looking forward to meeting you again at Worlds... Too bad you didn't go)
-Daniel L. (For helping me in my Video Game skills, and offering help everytime)
-Andreas W. (For being a great test playing partner)
-Henry L. (NATS CHAMP!)
-The CO people (I always wanted something other then Plox or Empoleon to win... You made my wish come true)
-My mom ( For taking me to all my tournaments,,, And waiting. Thanks Mom.)
-My dad (For Nationals, our flight was canceled Friday NIGHT. HE DROVE 12 hours straight so I COULD GO TO NATIONALS. We made it just in time. THANKS DAD, I LOVE YOU)

More to add..

THANK YOU POKEGYM!

Indeed it does!

I have to say, that was beautiful.

Thank you everyone! this has been the most fun season yet!

Here's hope next season will be even better!!

Nice Job Aaron on your accomplishments this year and writing this awesome article

ehh, I actually like the 06-07 year better and I was so bad that year because I was a noob but it was funner than facing the same deck every round.

However I must thank all of the judges and PTOs for making this season really fun nontheless

Honestly, this has been one of the worst formats for the TCG in a LONG time, even worse than the LBS days.

BUT, it's over, and I'm sure everybody will agree with me, it was still fun!!

Yeah, it was tough to play Plox/GG (if it was really that bad, a lot more people would have quit) so many times, BUT in the end I think every event I went to was TONS of fun, and the stuff they do over there at PUI is amazing for the game.

Thanks to everybody who helped make this season so much fun!

What a fantastic job you did writing this message!! Wishing you well and lots of Pokemon fun into the new season.

Yeah, I got a little teary when I first read it.

It made me realize how many people put their love and heart into this game, and make it SOOO fun.

Let's hope this gets on the front page!

This was my families first full year playing Pokémon and we had the blessings to meet a lot of great people. Thank you for writing this article to allow us all to thank everyone.

I want to say THANK YOU to Heidi and her family. It has been great getting to know you all and being a part of your tournaments in Florida. I look forward to next year.

Thank you to PUI and Pokémon inc for supporting the players and keeping the game accessible to everyone.

Thank you Pokegym for given this community a place to connect.

Thank you everyone we met at BR, Cities, States, Regionals, Nats and World!! Thank you Roar!!

Sincerely,
The Coville family

Very good article Aaron

One of the best I've ever read - major props

This should definetly be front page material

~Michael~

Nah i really can't see this a front page news. Let other who have websites do self promotion, with the great group of Gymmers we don't need to.

So thank you PokéGym Community,
My family,
Team TJ's aka the North East, especially my Leaguers,
POP/PUI/PUSA,

Thank You to the PTOs in my area that run great events
Thank You to the staff/judges/volunteers that keep the events running smoothly
Thank You to POP/PUI/PUSA for hosting the events in the first place

You're a Junior? Sweet monkey... That was one of the most well thought out posts I've seen on this forum from pretty much anybody.

Oh yeah. A BIG Thank You to PUI both for allowing me to Judge Nationals and for allowing me to run my own events out here in the boonies!

Nice post. This is really what the game is about. Having fun, and making friends. For a lot of people, this was a tough year with GG everywhere. But I hope no one can say that there was never a fun moment this season. I know I had fun. Very nice post, and it reminds us all that we need to thank each other, for the great times we've had together, and the friendships made when we see people we know over and over again in tournaments. I don't know about anyone else, but I'm glad how the year turned out and I'm ready for the new one, and no doubt it will be even better than this year.

Awesome article and ditto. There are so many people across the world whose selfless dedication and love of the game keep it alive by sheer will. We (hopefully) say thanks to all of them on a smaller scale from time to time but a showing of public gratitude like yours reminds us all how much effort it takes from the ground up to orchestrate this thing. It especially demonstrates the part I personally love best, the spirit of the game. Good job to all who have worked so hard for all of us, and thanks!
