Greetings Everyone!

We are very excited to announce the La Crosse, Wi area City Championship.

When: December 13, 2008
Registration is at 9:00am
Torunament starts around 10:00am

Where: Valley View Mall
State Rd. 16
La Crosse, Wi 54601

Entry Fee; FREE!
This is a premiere point event. Legal modified 60 card decks are required. Deck list will also be required.


This should turn out to be one the greatest events we have had in western Wisconsin. Thanks to the Valley View mall providing a great spot for us, we will have lots of room for everyone. Also with the eating places in the food court right in the mall, you wont have to leave to get lunch. And thanks to Gamestop, we will have a Gameboy area for those of you looking for some between round activities or perhaps a few tips on your favorites or a new game. We will be having door prizes given out throughout the tournament, so there will be some additional chances to walk away with some great stuff.

This one's gonna be a GREAT one Troy! Way to go bringing it all together for everyone to be able to have such a great time! I know some TIYers will be there for sure!
 
An additional bonus. We are working on lunch coupons for everyone. We are hoping to get all of the restaurants involved. Some of them include the World Famous Pan Pizza of Rocky Rococo's, amazing chili dogs at Coney Island, great Chinese Food at everyone's favorite Panda Express, and Flamers grilled Burgers and more....MMMM. My goodness...could you have scheduled it any earlier :)

I figured it out though. Us out of towners now have to either sleep in an uncomfortable hotel bed or wake up really early to get there on time. This will of course cause poor play, and you Wisconsin folk might have a chance to win. Nice try Troy!

Alex and I should be there. Looking forward to it!
 
Hey these things have to be scheduled earlier these days, with the 40 minute rounds now you've gotta have enough time to get through it all! (or like you said, maybe it's a plot) :wink:

Troy sounds great! That's gonna be an awesome location for ya! Rocky Rococo's?!!?! :eek: Dang I REALLY wish I could get up there now! I Love Rocky's :tongue:
 
dude im coming!! anyone want to hang out and trade cards? and one question do you need to have been in a tourny before to come (i have never been to a tournament) like any requirments or anything?

Wiem, you know I am goingto do all I can to hold the MN crew down. LOL:lol:. Seriously, you all know that with the 40 min rounds and the extra K value on cities driving up attendance, I need to start early so we can get done before sunrise on Sunday. The mall would like to see us get done at a reasonable hour so their crew can get all the clean up work done. Dont worry, this tournament is goona be worth staying in the hotel or getting up early or both. Looking forward to seeing everyone there. I cant wait to see our attendance go through the roof!!:thumb:
 
I was going to try and make it out there. But it's way early and it'll be tough getting up in time to get there. Maybe next time.

Thank you Game Stop for collaberating with our City Championships at our Mall. We had a blast and It was really nice that Game Stop gave gift cards to the winners! Can't wait to do this again!:thumb:
 
yes thank you everyone that helped in this tournament because it was my first tournament and now im hooked on competing. i mean you wouldn't believe how much work i have put in my deck in the last 24 hours lol

Congrats to you and your son on another top 4 finish for both of you. You guys are really proving your salt for being in the game for such a short time. :thumb:

i was playing the palkia/electivire/empoleon/raichu deck i was the kid with the dark blue sweatshirt with stars on the front. who were you?
 
La Crosse City Championships 2008

I posted some pictures in the Gallery. Maybe you can remember who everyone is. Check it out! The only bad thing is my camera put a date of 2005 on them??? :smile:
 
Everyone, just wanted to tell you how much of a blast the cities were. I had a great time and it was awesome to meet all of you. I hope to make it down for league a couple times a month at least, and hopefully to some more tournaments. Thanks again Troy for a great tourney! (Even though I didn't do as well as I would have hoped;))
