Pokémon TCG: Sword and Shield—Brilliant Stars

how to make custom playmats

um, either way you are going to end up paying for the supplies. i do custom mat making. i charge $15 for the design and 30 to have it printed/shipped.

Wow. We might as well have a stickied thread about mat making.

Sharpies or Prismacolor are good markers to draw on mats with. Blank mats can be found on eBay for around ten bucks. For a fixative to hold the color and resist smudge, you can use hairspray, or fixatives you can find at craft stores.

You can find Prismacolor at Hobby Lobby.

Check my thread for more ideas and whatnot.

Hope this helps!

r3skyline, how did you print your design on a mat? I would LOVE to do this, but don't know how.

i used to print them, but not anymore, i now go thru another supplier which is why the $30 charge is seperate from the $15 charge.

they are printed with an epson 9700 i believe. not sure, but that 9xxx series i do know for sure. quite expensive for those that are gonna go to ebay and try to find it. ;)

I whould love for you to make me a mat....I just wish i had the money T_T so if i wanted you to make me a mat whould i have to give you the design i want

uh, not really, you dont have to. just provide images, or just give me your idea and i can see what i can do for ya.

thats the thing. what is in it for them? just do it out of the kindness of their heart? so they "waste their time" by doing a "good deed"?

i would honestly like to know. not flaming or anything, just trying to have a conversation. i may be interested in this. (doing design)

I'd wait and see the final product before buying any mats online since the image can look nice, but if it's not high enough quality (d.p.i - dots per inch), it will look blurry and pixelated when it is printed onto something.
