nother day nother shiny, ponyta AR.
60 is standard for a basic, +10 to water and 1 retreat cost are standard as well
star barrier is good removing weakness while energy is attached, but its attack removes all its fire energy...

blue fire is decent doing 50 for 2 fire but discarding all fire can be painful, possible with an expert belt on second turn to knock out most basics though

it looks ok but your likely better off with the 72/99 AR one for more consistancy

5/10

This is probably the best Ponyta ever. It shares the same Poke-Bodies as the other 2 shinies where you as long as you have an energy attached to it, it has no weakness. And 2 for 50. 50 is pretty good for a basic. Heck if they're gonna give a Pokemon only 1 attack, they SHOULD make it good. And that's what they've done here. I don't know why they gave Shiny Bagon such a bad attack for it's 1 attack.

I give this Ponyta a 10/10

If you really want to play Rapidash, use Ascension Ponyta and stick this one in the binder.

Or, use it with Expert Belt to OHKO Skymin LV X!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

shiny/10

If I've got to pick a Ponyta to play, it will be Ascension.

But this one would come in 2nd I guess.

6/10

love the artwork. love the blue flames. and for body /weakness/retreat and doing 50 dmg with 2 nrg + discard makes this little pony above average.

6/10

(cuase it doesnt have any set up attacks and its attack req 2 fire nrgies )

Just think guys --

With an Expert Belt, 4 Plus Powers, and 2 Crobat Drops this baby can knock out a Torterra Lv. X!
Or - with an expert belt, a Lucario GL, and 2 Plus Powers you can knock that tree creature to the ground!
OR! With a Lucario GL, 4 Plus Powers, and 2 Crobat Drops that Tree Turtle will be crying like a BABY!

The diversity is killing me!!!!!

Great Card!

10/10

Today's CotD is Ponyta from AR, the shiny one...mmm...shiny... Anyways, statwise 60 HP is average for a Basic, +10 Weakness to :water: hurts but is negligible, no Resistance is common, and :colorless: to Retreat is cheap. Star Barrier (its Poke-Body) is decent enough, ridding Ponyta of its Weakness if it has an Energy attached (though of course, most Pokemon are likely to outright KO it anyways). Blue Fire deals a solid 50 for :fire::fire:, but has the nasty side effect of discarding all your :fire: Energy on Ponyta.

Modified - 4/10 (As far as Ponytas go, it's not too bad, and you're only using it to get to Rapidash anyways)
Limited - 5/10 (It's not horribly bad if you have Rapidash to look forward to, otherwise it can get in 1 big attack before croaking)
Unlimited -1/10 (No use here)

Oh look! More binder candies!

Why use this one, when you could use a better one? (By better I mean faster, and by faster I mean the ascension one.)

3/10- Modified

That's what Heatran LV. X is for.

It's not even the best Ponyta in the set. Ascension is way too good not to take advantage of. It's not a bad card, heck, most basics would love to be this good, it's simply not the best Ponyta available.

7/10

No way. Why waste a move on evolving when you should be dealing damage? BTS or Rare Candy for the win.

With expert belt this can one shot tangrowth lvl X or dialga. (yay)

But a no weakness can really help against a fast water deck like kingdra if you get him as your starter.
Bonus points for it being shiny!
-7/10 for it's job 8/10 for being cool looking.

Maybe build a fun fire haymaker with this guy and Torchic (Platinum)... it might be an interesting starter deck.

60 HP is good for a basic. 2 for 50, discard one, is also really good for a non-SP basic. Star Barrier might be useful in the early game, but Ponyta's low HP allows it to be KOed without much effort, rendering its Body useless. Drop an Expert Belt on this horse and it can OHKO a Dialga G Lv. X. 3/10

Pokebody's good, the discard to fire energy notsogood. Hetran Lv. X would be good. But 60 HP will get it knocked out it 2 seconds. Good early game. +10 water weakness standard. and the retreat as well.

6/10 (+ shiny bonus) 7/10

It's not discard 1. It's discard ALL.
