Entei and Raikou Legend- My least favorite of the three, but nevetheless, it's still pretty good. 90 for 2 energies is really not bad, and play it with Typhlosion Prime for more potential with it. The second attack Thunder Fall is just insane. Though you discard two energies on it when the attack is used, you do 80 to all Pokemon that have poke-powers. That's a OHKO on Claydol! The only downside is that you do 80 to your own pokemon with poke-powers in play.

I would like to introduce you to 3 cards:

Heatran Lv. X
Bench Shield
Sunyshore Gym

Wow.... just wow.

So basically you don't discard energy, don't do anything to your bench, and have no weakness, all the while blasting everything with powers for 80 or just doing straight 90 to your opponent. Horray!

And resistance isn't applied to your attacks.
If you wanna get insane, add these to the mix as well...

Stark Mountain
Pokemon Rescue
Free retreater of your choice (Rapidash or Luxray GL LV. X as viable suggestions)

ITT, we hope they only rotate 5 sets this year instead of 7 just so we can do this.

There's always Worlds and maybe even Nats and Regionals this year! I've already started getting all the cards for it before they jump in price/value!

Aside from a few SP's who really can't stand some of the changes the next few sets make (Say hi to Feraligatr, he might not be the best card around but he doesn't care much about SP's thanks to its Grass weakness) (Say hi to Donphan who slams straight through most (if not all) SP's), there isn't really that much fire in the format. That leaves us with Charizard and Typhlosion. Charizard teching in a Nidoqueen? Surely you jest. That leaves us with Typhlosion.

And yes, Nidoqueen is an annoyance to Kingdra but does EVERY deck run it? Do 50% of the decks run it? No to both.

I will post a video of myself attempting to eat a sock if Feraligatr takes 1st place in any Master's Division State Championship (in the US), autograph the sock, and mail it to you.

LOL! I'll trade well for a copy of the video...particularly if it is a sock you've worn all day and peel fresh from your foot!

You should bet on that kind of stuff, who knows in some area where they never heard of sp pkmn it might happen :/
Cause I dont doubt that Gater is good against anything but SP and Plox

That would make for an awesome video. Someone should quote this so we have proof of it.

I think with Revived Legends it probably won't come out here until they rotate things out. Watch the release it right after worlds. I also think that Rising Rivals on would make for the best roatation because SPs would become more balanced compared to these new cards because if you think about it they are kinda unfair as seeing as you can do 60 damage for one energy when it takes a Feraligator 4 for 80 or 4 for 60 depending on the one you use.

If I've learned one thing about rotations, it is more about complete blocks and less about "balance".

I HIGHLY doubt that they will rotate Platinum and keep Rising Rivals. If they did that then all the SP's would be completely useless.

No it wouldnt :/
Luxray would still be strong, have a somewhat balanced attack etc. And Blaziken could still be used for type coverage, same with chomp

I said States, so I think that means America's implicit (don't they call it like Provinces?). If this isn't the case, I should go change it before it gets quoted and I have to eat sock thanks to some European backwater.

Now I'm going to have to go to all of the trouble of convincing everyone in Masters to use Feraligatr at my States. Thank you for all the inconvenience.

Just because I'm friendly like that, I'll let you use ketchup to at least make the taste a bit more bareable.

Seriously though, States this year are harder to predict then ever before. Think of it this way though, Gatr's power can be used with many a different Pokemon that might be underrated right now, or is just generally not-so-good. Who knows what random people come up with?
I'm not running Gatr myself btw, not my style of deck so don't think I'm promoting it or anything. But the point I originally tried to make is that Gatr due to its hype and just its poke power WILL see play, especially with some of the cards coming out later, therefore being a deterrent to Fire (and in a lesser way, SP) decks.

And oh, out of curiosity for this little bet, are we talking about pure Gatr decks or are decks using, say, 2-1-2 Gatr allowed too?

Pass on the ketchup, I don't want to look any more ridiculous than a grown man playing a children's card game would. I know how open the meta is. I still don't think it can win. I'm gutsy, I'll permit 2-1-2 to count.

^ Still counting on Wigglytuff as BDIF then?

Clearly you underestimate the power of Wigglytuff swarm. With a DCE attached and an Igglybuff underneath, you are dealing 60 damage per turn for 1 energy with Wigglytuff GE. If you run a full compliment of Full Heal and PokeHealer+, you can use the power each turn to sleep your opponent, which is always pretty lulzy. If you have rigged dice, as any decent player should, you can hit 80 damage for one attachment with the first attack on Wigglytuff HGSS! Tech in a Wigglytuff EXCG to abuse the special conditions you are dealing to your opponent (plus Collect is kinda nifty, eh?)!
