Ok, so at day 2 of nats today, I was facing someone who seemed to be cheating. I had 2 claydols out. I have 3 cards in my hand: a pokemon, a pokemon communication and something else. I start my turn by drawing a card, communicationing for garchomp c x and announce cosmic bottom 2 for 4. He waits until I draw my cards then immediatly calls the judge over telling him that I had cosmiced 3 times with only 2 dols. The judge listens to his story, ignoring everything I say , and when I tell my opponent that I cosmiced only once, and I had proof (the card directly before communication was a supporter) he tells the judge that I'm lying T_T The judge without any proof gives a prize card penalty and puts the 4 cards on top of my deck randomized. After the judge leaves, my opponent tells me that I had already attachedd (lie) and that the garchomp c basic was played down that turn (super lie) and that he wanted to keep me from misplaying again so he didn't have to call the judge over again. He kept my from cosmicing the rest of the game claiming I had already done it and called over the judge twice more for crappy made up reasons and got a prize card every time without hesitation. I still would've won with the 2 prize card penalties, but I think my opponent realized that which is probably why he called the judge over the third time. After these *misplays* judges start glaring at me and tell me to take it slow so we didn't have to administer more penalties. This whole incident may or may not have kept me out of top cut, but I believe that my opponent made it. Now the whole point of this thread, I want to know... Is it reasonable for judges to give out a penalty when both players don't agree on the situation and the player who is against the penalty has proof?
