Pokémon TCG: Sword and Shield—Brilliant Stars

For the fun, situational scenario, the most damage that can be done in the TCG.

Hasn't this topic been done to death before...unless you specify otherwise, any attack doing X times the number of Heads can theoretically do infinite damage, so yeah...

Just realized you can't use Expert Belt. You need Focus Band. However, amazingly, no one though that Rocket's Hitmonchan could have 4 Plus Power on it!

No, you don't need Focus Band.

Rocket's Hitmonchan will get off the attack even if he dies(on a heads flip) making Focus Band Worthless. Plus, you can't attach PlusPowers on your opponent's turn.

Ah, misread the attack. Read as more of a Mirrior Move that doubles damage sort of thing.

Is there an unlimited card that's similar to Cherrim SF for (F) Pokemon? We have a lot of unused bench space on Monchan's side!

I'd thought about the whole "make it dark type and load it with dark energy" but Weavile SW doesn't last long enough for that. If there's another way to change the type of the card, it would add SOME damage to the attack. Pokepedia would probably help with the data mining.

No, because it doesn't do acutal damage until you opponent attacks, negating any bonuses from getting Hitmonchan turned Dark Type (because it would have worn off) Unless there's a more permanent way to turn him Dark type.

How about if Hitmonchan deck plays Blaziken FB Lv.X and burns Mew Prime?

Of course, Hitmonchan deck can also play Flareon * to put both Hitmonchan AND Mew as burned. Along with benched Blaziken FB Lv.X, it generates +40 damage for both attacks.

And better yet, using Mew Ex instead of Mew Prime will give one more room to the energy, assuming that Hitmonchan deck plays Infernape PL line.

Good ideas Hawk.

(2*(2*(2*(58*80))+40)+20)+40 = 37260. Someone should check to see if I have my parenthesis in the right place.

^ I think that's right. XD Man, those people who say this game is for children should see some of this damage calculation.

(2*(2*(2*(50+(53*20)+10)) +440)) = 9800.

Awwwww[/QUOTE]

What do you mean by "Awwwwww", it's OVER 9000! That's all that matters my friends.

Yup, that's an easy fix. And I think that might be the most damage anything could ever do outside of infinite coin flips.

Player:
1-1 executor MT
1-1 Meganium neo
1 Smeargle (black star #32)
1 rare candy
1 Wager
53 grass energy
Opponet:
1 porygon
1 Rocket’s hitmonchan
1-1 meganium neo
1 Rare Candy
1 Lucario GL
53 grass energy
1 Fighting energy
Both players are allowed enough time to play all their energy due to wager. The eggs player has to change rocket’s chan into a grass Pokémon via smeargle, and then get koed. Next the eggs player must have the eggs’ weakness changed into grass via porygon. Both pokes are koed, so there are only 5 prizes left, which means 47 grass energy for eggs and 46 grass energy and 1 fighting for hitmochan. Due to both meganium’s doubling the energy for both “grass” pokes, we get a total of 187 flips. At 30 a pop, we get a base of 5610. Due to counterstrike working, it doubles to 11220, and then strikes for x2 weakness for a grand total of 22440. If we count porygon’s effect not being removed when retreating to the bench (which….it does…sorry guys), we add in a porygon to the eggs deck, subtracting a total of 2 energy from there, but adding 1 grass *from prizes* to the chan, thus getting 186 flips for a grand total of 44640. Someone may want to double check the minor details, but eggs clearly trumps ape.

Just as a backup, just play trode ex+eggs and scramble/boost the chan for a ton.

Unfortunately, Exeggutor flips for each Basic Energy "CARD" attached to the pokemon, not each energy. SO, its actually half of the damage you've said.

String Bomb (Exeggutor - Mysterious Treasures)
* Exeggutor's "String Bomb" attack should say, "Flip a coin for each Energy from basic Energy cards attached to Exeggutor and to the Defending Pokémon." (Feb 28, 2008 Pokemon Organized Play News)

I would consider Exeggutor (HGGS) with Electrode ex (Fire Red Leaf Green) along with Scramble, Boost, Double Colorless, Upper, and maybe Double Rainbow Energy with Holon's Electrode against Rocket's Hitmonchan. For the Meganium deck . I would consider Ditto (Fossil) with 59 grass energy against the Meganium deck previously posted, because it leave more room for energy.

Other things to consider are cards with 2 double weaknesses some examples are:

Tyranitar ex (Unseen Forces) - weakness : Fighting/Grass
Entei/Raikou Legend ,Typhlosion ex (Unseen Forces)- weakness : Fighting/Water
Steelix ex (Unseen Forces), Aggron ex (Crystal Gaurdians)- weakness: Fighting/Fire
Meganium ex, Sceptile ex d (Crystal Gaurdians)- weakness: Grass/Fire
Raikou and Suicune Legend - Fighting/Lightning Weakness
Suicune and Entei Legend - Weakness: Lightning/Water Weakness
Dustox ex (Legend Maker)-Weakness: Fire/Psychic
Walrein ex- Fighting/Metal
Shiftry ex- weakness: Grass/Fighting

This is to get the damage to x4.

Another thing to consider is pokemon that can copy other pokemon's attacks:

Clefable (Jungle)
Clefairy (Base Set)
Mew (POP 5)
Ditto (Fossil)
Mew * (Crystal Gaurdians)
Mew ex (Legend Maker)
Mew Prime
And lastly I'd consider Brock's Ninetails it's pokemon power. (but you can't use it with lvl.x's)

---------- Post added 07/18/2010 at 10:19 AM ----------

So after remembering the secret deck that did well in Nationals a few years back, which was Empoleon ( Diamond and Pearl) and Marowak d (Delta Species) I came up with a different deck.

Pokemon: 18

2-2 Electrode ex (Fire Red Leaf Green)
1-1 Marowak d (Delta Species)
4 Holon's Electrode (Delta Species)
4 Holon's Magneton (Delta Species)
4 Holon's Castform (Holon Phantoms)

Trainers: 1

1 Expert Belt (Arceus)

Energy: 41

4 Scramble Energy (Deoxys)
4 Double Colorless Energy
4 Boost Energy (Unseen Forces)
4 Upper Energy
4 Double Rainbow Energy
4 Bounce Energy
4 Metal Energy (Special)
5 Basic Metal Energy
9 Fighting Eneergy
9 Lightning Energy

Opposing pokemon:

Team Aqua's Walrein (Team Aqua Team Magma) or Walrein ex (Crystal Gaurdians)... so I'm curious...
how much damage does this do to Team Aqua's Walrein?
