Dunno if I like the idea of the scoring system being changed after some of us have already submitted.

See people tend to do this in a way that conforms to RA's criteria (especially after getting previous feedback). Knowing it's going to be part scored by contestants may alter things just a little. (And no, I don't want to re-submit as I put a certain amount of effort into it).

If this is done, I suggest doing it for next round and declaring the scoring method at the start. Not that I'm completely convinced it's a good idea. We all know RA's scoring methods and what he's looking for . . . other people might have other priorities that won't always be in line with the intention behind the contest.

Sorry to react in a negative way. I know it sounds like a lot of fun, but I don't think it's the best or most practical way to do this.

I have to agree with Baby Mario. It sounds kind of fun, but it's probably better to run the entire tournament that way, so that we aren't trying to cater our responses to what we have learned about the judge's views.

Wait, there's a round after this? I thought the reason you had everyone pm their shirt sizes was because this was the final round.

Forget the /2, just make it out of 50. You can decide whether it should only be contestants judging these, or if anybody can (I prefer contestants only). And do this double blind by locking the topics and requiring PMs to get the score. Dock those that don't score the other lists. Stuff like that.

We have to do something like this for some of my chemistry classes. It isn't fun:frown:. The scoring method is incredibly complex and the scorers are penalized if their answers deviate too much. Though I know R_A wouldn't let it get that bad, the similarity turns me off from it.

List sent. I'll apologize ahead of time, RA, for cluttering up your inbox a little extra (forgot to include my T-Shirt size in the first PM so I sent a second). So sorry.

Did enjoy this round. Saw about four viable decks, think I could have gone either way on two of them. HOpe I make the next round! Cy'all soon!

~Cardz.

No to anyone else being able to score lists. It would be inconsistent at this point, and RA seems to have some very specific ideas that I've spent a lot of time trying to figure out.

I mirror this. Also some people are going to be more generous when scoring then others, so with their entry being voted on, they're likely to get a lower average score then those who score more harshly.

Agreed. I would love to see everyone's deck lists posted somewhere; for example, in a thread where each post contained deck lists from one person who moved on through Rounds 1-3, to see how their lists changed and evolved. Just not until the round is over.

If nothing else, no one will ever ask how to upgrade a Meganium theme deck with cards up to Undaunted, ever, ever again.

You're absolutely right.

That would throw the entire criteria and judging piece out of whack and make the entire contest inconsistant.

Welp. I'm back on the grind!

Just submitted. Hope this is okay, I feel I did poorly, unlike last round. Anyway, this is exciting. Thanks again RA.

There's my entry, R_A.

I had it all written up and stared at it for a bit and said "...no." Just like the first round! lol I liked the second list a lot better, though. It has just the right mix of sneaky tricks and simplicity!

OMG I BARELY GOT THAT IN ON TIME

Stupid schoolwork keeping me back all week...

Good luck to everyone else in this.

Hmmm I got my result and think that it isn't really good.... ->11
@R_A there was no good way to increase the drawpower....so?!
Darkmot.

i think there were 6 draw cards which should be enough.
