Figures....freaking Power Keepers 2.0, all over again >.>

So, besides the fact the only worthwhile new card will be likely Lost World...bleh, I'm so disgusted by this announcement of what is likely filler set, I'm gonna refrain from commenting too much since I'd probably get infracted all over. I'll just say this, this is one of their lamest freaking moves ever.

Can't disagree with you more Regis Neo.

Hopefully this will contain all the remaining cards from Lost Link, and a whole bunch of promos. I don't care if it ends up like Power Keepers. People keep slating that set (even collectors because of the use of stock art), but remember that it had some gorgeous pieces too, like Ninetales.

(It also had some of the Eevelution stars. People forget how fortunate we are to get cards like that - they were incredibly rare in their original Japanese printings.)

Yay, I was getting worried we'd be missing cards, which I would've totally hated. Hope this isn't the first BW set, When are the videogames released in the US?

If you were their marketing director, would you call this set "Call of Legends" instead of "Black & White"?

The games are coming in April, just like the first BW set.

Right...and guess what Ninetales was a reprint of? Oh yeah, THE HL ONE! So unless you were a newbie who missed out on that card (which even then I don't remember being played a whole lot), there was no point to it. PK was plain and simple a bad filler set filled mostly with cards that were about a year old from being good. Granted, the Trainer/Supporter reprints were good like Battle Frontier ans Steven's Advice, but that's only because good Trainer/Supporter are always useful regardless of the set as long as they remain legal. And to top off how bad PK was, they filled several spots with lame Holo Energy, which I suspect they could be doing for this set as well for filler material.

Sure the 3 Eeveelution Star were pretty (and Jolteon Star was actually useful), but unless you're a collector, who really cares how rare their Japanese counterpart was?

I only followed the link and searched in the discription of the articles

This is what it says

Since I am fluent Dutch I am sure it says New Pokemon Prime.
True or not true? I don't know I only translated it.

On another website I found this about a so called
Pokemon Evolutions Pack (release Dec 2010)

Grow your collection...and evolve your Pokémon! Add great cards to your Pokémon Trading Card Game collection with this Pokémon Evolutions pack, including an entire Evolution chain that takes a Basic Pokémon all the way up to a holographic Stage 2 Pokémon! It's a revolution in evolution that can help any Pokémon Trainder! Each Pokémon Evolutions Pack contains 1 booster pack and 3 bonus cards!

...PLEASE BE METAGROSS PRIME. OR SOMETHING COOL. LIKE. LIKE. UNOWN.

Something's fishy.

Well thats interesting, maybe well see some "special" cards een before japan gets them?
And honestly, I wouldnt mind a complete crapset if that would be that we wouldnt get lost world. 100 useless promos would be fine, I could ignore the set but Lost World should never get printed here :/

I'm paranoid! Besides how long has it been for an English set to be titled three words long? (I don't think it has ever happened)

Just because you don't like the card doesn't mean noone does. I forgot it was a reprint - I just liked the art!

So you don't want decent Trainer cards or holo energy. I thought players like these things

Here's a secret - I'm a collector (would've thought it obvious but maybe not).

I can appreciate players wanted to see all Lost Link cards in Triumphant with no need for a reprint set in February. But lets be honest here - as long as the videogames keep on coming the TCG will be tied to it. The alternative is for us to have no set until April/May when BW come out - presumably noone wants that!

Rather than being negative and saying it will suck, maybe discuss what you want from it and what lessons you hope will've been learnt from Power Keepers?

Didn't we get cards in PK that Japan didn't get except as a special set sometime after, in order to give them the cards they didn't have?

Well my point with the Trainers was that by the time PK (last set in the EX block) came out, everyone remotely competitive should have had a full set by then (I mean, we're talking cards like Blaziken and Delcatty from RS as the earliest set reprints), not to bother mentioning by that time, the Holon Engine had swept up everything anyways. Holo Energy, sure I suppose if you're...well, what I call them doesn't matter, but I mean if someone really wants an all holo deck, that's their prerogative.

You have a point about the VG being tied to the TCG set, it is rather lame they can't release our videogames quickly enough (as I've been saying forever also). But the whole lesson with PK was that it was a travesty, clearly aimed to suck money out of unsuspecting people's pockets for reprints of cards just because they need to buy time. In all honesty, I would rather they gave us the last 20 or so cards missing from LL and just skipped a set release in favor of waiting for B&W instead of cramming a filler set down our throats.
