***ATTENTION*** At this tournament we will also be holding a canned food drive for the Tarrant County Food Bank! I'd like to ask everyone who shows up to please bring at least one can of non-perishable food items. I know you're hungry for battle, but some families are just plain hungry, so please help some out! :thumb:

March 5th is going to be one of your last chances to warm up for Texas State Championships, but that's not all: It's going to be your chance to earn yourself a copy of Pokémon Black or White!

WHERE: Haltom City Public Library
4809 Haltom Road
Haltom City, Texas 76117

WHEN: March 5, 2011
Registration: 8:30AM
Start time: 9:30AM

WHAT: A sanctioned tournament where you can hone your deck before Texas State Championships and win a copy of Pokémon Black or White for the Nintendo DSi! The tournament will be a Sanctioned Modified Swiss tournament, with the top winners in each age bracket snagging a copy of Pokemon Black or White, plus more prizes for the top finishers!

Since the tournament is taking place before the release of the games, you'll have the choice of either having your game mailed to you, or you may be able to pick it up at one of our League locations.

We'll have more prizes as well, so keep an eye on the thread for continuous updates! If you want to ensure a spot in the tournament, you can pre-register by PMing me with your name and POP ID.

Get ready for Texas State Championships and win a copy of Black or White by turning your opponents Black and Blue!

Not sure if I can make it, but I love the idea of turning my opponents black and blue.

As a reminder, if Nintendo brings out a pre-order bonus for Black and White, the winners will receive those along with their games! Now let's hope it's something cool, and not a stylus!

We will also be holding a Canned Food Drive for the Black and White Battle! Please bring at least one canned, non-perishable food item with you when you arrive to help out the hungry families of Tarrant County!

Just so everyone knows, Poinko is going to be running his in the same format as BRs. Is it a precursor for BIGGER AND BETTER THINGS?!?!? Only time will tell!

And congrats to our NEWEST TO in North Texas!! :thumb:

^ When you say "format," do you mean that we can't use call of legends cards, or are you saying that the tournament will work just like a BR?

BR Format was Modified and MD-On. That is the whole point, being able to use the CL cards and get those last minute tweaks to your decks.

It doesn't really matter, but if I had a preference, I would say 'Play Pokemon Event', since it's the most vague of the ones available.

There is always the deck list creator *look at my sig* to help as well!!

So excited for this event!! I gots my deck... do you want to PLAY! Pokemon?
