I know what you're thinking. There's already a redshark/apprentice tournament around. Why join this one too?

Here are my reasons.
1.Deck Changes. You can change your deck every round if you like.
2. Completely creative structure (More on that later)
3. Set for the current format and current rules so you can also test for states with this.
4. Default is Redshark, but if your opponent can agree to it, you can also use apprentice and skype

Now what is the Weegee cup?
Me, being a stuck up, conceited brat have decided to make a tournament and name it after myself. The tourament will work much differently than most others ( I don't belive this has actually been done before)

The Rules:
1.The tournament will be told in the form of a story. What?? That's right. The story will follow thejourney of a young hero (Mama Luigi :D LOL) as he packs his bags and sets off on the Oregon Trail. Before every round starts, I will post a chapter ending with a descision that the smart and handsome Mama Luigi has to make. I'll list a few different possible things that Mama Luigi can do to solve theproblem. Each round, everyone will get a vote (The winner of the round gets 2 to try aand kill ties) The option or idea that gets the most votes, Mama Luigi will end up doing.

What about top cut?

Once Mama Luigi and his Wagon Mates come close to Oregon, they must face a serious problem. So serious that I haven't made it up yet (Or any of the story yet tbh) Once this happens, the top n players will continue playing whille everyone else is eliminated. This could happen within the first 4 round, or it could take longer depending on how much you guys mess up on your desicions. The top cut desicions will be the longest ad most important scenerios.
Why the Oregon Trail?

Because not everything is about pokemon dummy.

Bo3 Swiss rounds?

Yes

Wow Mama Luigi, you're really a conceited jerk, aren't you?

Yes.

Prizes?

TBA

This sounds stupid.

It should. It's an idea that hasn't been polished at all yet. I'm hoping that the second annual Weegee cup will run alot smoother.

When will the first part of the story be posted?
Ehh, next week?

INTRODUCTION

September 9th, 1846
It's official. After long hours of planning and debating, Matt and I have decided to leave Missouri to travel to Oregon in hopes for a better life. The fertile soil will be much of a benefit to Matt's farming, and I can't stay here alone. Matt has rounded up a group of other families travelling to Oregon, and we are all travelling together on the trail to minimize chances of failiure. To be honest, I am a little reluctent to meet them, but I've been through much tougher times before. I'm not so sure about leaving this late in the year, but Matt insists on it as when we get there, it'll be a good time for him to start planting. We leave in two days.

Signed,
Mama Luigi

Mama Luigi closed his journal, and sighed. After the accident, he had nothing. Fewer people owned horses now in favor for oxen to use along the trail so his blacksmithing buisness was in an indefinite pause. He figured that with the rest of his family dead, he would have nothing else to lose, and thus agreed to travel to Oregon with his childhood friend Matt, in search of a new life. Little did he know.....

Chapter One

It's been almost 2 weeks since we left Missouri. It's been hard adjusting to all the walking, which explains the absense of journal entries. I guess I should introduce the other members of the wagon party. Liam is a cabinmaker heading to Oregon to get away from his exwife. Jon is an underacheiving farmer heading west to fufill his dreams of being a cowboy, and Connor is a doctor heading to Oregon for more oportunities in life. They're all pretty young. And lucky.
I guess we're all having a hard time adjusting to the new life, because our water barrels are already nearly empty. We're going to make a stop at the nearest town later to see if we can find some water. I have no regrets for leaving yet.

Signed,
Mama Luigi

"15 dollars for a refill?? That's outrageous! I could buy myself anouther organ for that price.."
"Sir, I already explained to you, the river has been drying up, and water is scarce. We can't give the stuff away for free. Now please, buy some water or leave."
"Well what are we gonna do now?",questioned Jon angrily as the crew headed back towards the wagons. "We need water, but none of us have that kind of money.
"Together we could probably pitch in enough money to get a barrelfull of water," Liam excitedly proclaimed.
"We can't do that for one barrel, it would run out too quickly,"Jon argued.
"Uh.... guys?" Mama Luigi croaked. All eyes turned to him. "I uh.... I have an idea."

Decsion time :DDDDD
A.) Round up all the money and buy a barrelfull of water to ration.
B.) Wait until you reach a river to refill the barrels.
C.) Wait until night, then attack the guards and hopefully take some water.
[DEL]D.) You decide that the trip is not worth it, and kill yourself [/DEL]

Because not everything is about pokemon dummy.

That doesn't change the fact that it's completely random haha.

I'll join, but I'm still kinda fuzzy about how this'll work.

Also, is there gonna be a Hamachi network made specially for this?

I'll clarify the rules later (Once I figure out exactly how I'm gonna run this 'o_o)

Hamachi network:
Everybody Hates Chr...Weegee

Weegee'sajerk

I'd love to participate. Sadly, many a redshark tournament goes unfinished. I hope this pulls through.

One of the issues of these tournaments is that ONE person tries to contact the other... and the other either forgets their entry, doesnt see a PM, or doesnt log on for a while. Relying on consistency of your opponent being online is often the failure for online tournaments.

To solve this problem, I propose that each entrant PM you (organizer) their phone number... and each round, you send the opponent's phone number to each player in case of emergency. That way, there is a way to ASSUREDLY get your opponent's attention without having to wait in case they don't respond. Perhaps a more private alternative is to send the number at the request of the participant if no response is given within 2 or 3 days of the deadline.

I hate how almost no RS tourneys work and hope the best for this one. Consider my idea for effective tournament runnings!

What do you guys think of YoYofosho's idea?
I'm a bit unsure of it myself, but if we could get the majority of people to agree to it then I'm fine running that way.

I agree with it, it's just that some people (me included) would be a little bit iffy on giving out their number. I think that we should just not have as many people, and just let in very active gym members.

+1

BTW I like to think that I'm a pretty active member. So hopefully it won't be a problem [for me].

I'd give my number if it meant playing more than 2 rounds and then getting 4 byes due to nonattendance.
How about everyone gives a number who wants to?

Hmm this isn't gonna be something like " The Donner Pass Story " Yuck !!:p lol
Have this started yet? I guess depending on the dates / times of the battles I would like to join.
