What is desperatly missing right now is a Back and White Pokemon with the Pokemon Ability of Sand Damage (One just like the Pokebody on Dark Tyranitar and the Psychic Flygon EX. That would really even thing out for non SP decks for Battle Roads and Nationals.

I'm not sure I see your point. How would it even the format at all? Need I remind you that most SP builds play Chomp? I would appreciate a form of a stadium that does this type of effect (Cursed Stone perhaps?). I think that the power would be cool, but I'm not seeing it in this format. Bronzong MD kinda does what you are looking for, but there is nothing that spreads to all of the opponents' bench.

Bronzong only hits powers, and it can be shut off by Dialga SP X. A B&W with Sand Damage ability would hit an SP decks entire bench between rounds and could not be shut off.

I think his point was that every time enough damage accumulated on the SP player's pokemon to pose a threat, the SP player can simply drop a Garchomp C Lv X and Healing Breath away all the damage....it's the same reason why spread decks are by and large dead in this format.

even if they did make a card to counter sps it would have to have that body 1 for 60-80 no weakness to l c or d

I think this person nailed it.

SP can tech against almost anything.

When Machamp was eating it alive, it tech'd Toxicroak G (non-promo) and Skuntank and Uxie. When Machamp died down and Gengar showed up, it started tech'ing Weavile G. Against Gyarados, Luxray GL. Against Regigigas, Toxicroak G Promo.

They're all basics, that require little energy, and have a plethora of enhancing trainers and supporters that bend the rules. No wonder they dominate the game to the extreme level they do and have for so long.

What I think would have evened out the playing field between evolution decks and SP would be Double Rainbow Energy having been printed instead of DCE. So many good cards could make use of it D:
