Almost done with my charzard deck and after play testing it i really like the way to runs! I have played around with alot of decklist for this and i think i found my sweet spot so please look and tell me what you think, I have three spots open for the deck as it has 15 Fire energy in it i want more around 12, 13 at most so i need a 1-1 line or just some realy good basics for the deck. keep in mind its my first deck

Pokemon 21

4 charizard AR
2 charmeleon AR
4 Charmander AR
2 typhlosion Prime
1 Quilava
2 Cynaquil
3 Ninetails HS/CL
3 vulpix (legal ones dont know where to get the shiny one and if its about to cycle out dont wanna bother)

Trainers and supporters 24

2 Interviewer's questions
3 BeBe's search
3 pokemon collector
1 luxury ball
2 looker's investigation
2 expert belt
4 Rare candy
2 Professor Oak's new theory
2 Broken time space
3 pokemon communication

Energy 15
15 fire energy

ok theres the list now a tech i did try was a 2-1infernape and infernape lvlx, but after play testing it i just dont think it worth it (infernape selling for 50$???) i am on a budget mind you. but what i was thinking was ditch 2-3 energy for some more basics i just dont seem to draw em enough also a good starter if there is one (fire only) i was thinking of taking out the looker's for seekers because from what i can tell looker's is about to cycle out and seeker is a free heal on charizard witch i think is needed. BTS is a card i would not mind getting rid of. most people run it and i think its about to cycle as well. it seems to hurt me alot more then it helps. i would like to find a way to get more interviewers questions in the list :) love the card and it realy seems to save the game alot of times. mybe Entei & Raikou LEGEND? anyway any basics i use can use and any advice on the supporter and trainer list would be welcomed.

Decks tested against
Luxchomp 2-3 (yeah i lost but i had a few dumb plays lol)
Gyarados 2-3 (again a loss but a few misplays by me and the deck was the one from worlds so THAT version is no longer legal)
Lostgar 3-1 (I seemed to be 2-3 turns ahead of him at everystep)

Pokemon
3 charizard AR
2 charmeleon AR
3 Charmander AR
2 typhlosion Prime
1 Quilava
2 Cynaquil

Hope this helps :thumb:

My only real suggestion would be to narrow down the heavy trainers. (This is assuming Vilegar is big in your area).

He recommends sableye, I think spiritomb is better. Test both and decide on your play style.

If you chose spiritomb, make all the lines solid (3-3-3 , 2-2-2) and drop the candies.

This is basically the list I run.

I honestly believe that Judge is a much better hand refresher than PONT or Looker's. It disrupts your opponent and then you can draw your hand size back up with Ninetales. This can be crucial.

I think only one seeker is necessary, if any. If you are having to retreat, seeker, play back down you are in big trouble. Against everything but Gyarados, Charizard is tanky enough to take two prizes before being knocked out.

Spiritomb AR is hands down the best starter for this deck (for any Stage 2 deck in my opinion). That early trainer lock is, in my opinion, crucial against the SP engine. Keeping your opponent from playing Radar, Spray, E-Gain, Energy Exchanger early has won me many games.

Blaziken FB can really turn the game in your favor against D-Chomp, VilGar, LostGar, or even Magnezone. You do not want him just sitting on the bench, because with only 80 hp he can be sniped. However, dragging up Vileplume, Mr. Mime, Giratina, Palkia G, Regirock, or Dialga G can be huge.

The main problem with this decklist is that if the game wears on and you lose your basics to Garchomp sniping, Charizard's damage output can be hurt. So it is important to really capitalize mid-game. From turns 3-8 you really need to be taking a prize per turn.

Thanks so far on the help but i was realy wanting to stay away from uxie as it cycles soon and starting a spirit tomb does seem to be a move in this but i dont know if thats good for the decks over all strat, i dont think adding in a few of the more played cards will help any, uxie is good but i really dont think this decks needs the draw and azelf is good but thats taking the deck down a different route and i dont think thats the answer here but i will play test these cards and give it a go :)

Also one more thing to note is with a full bench charizard can OHKO a gyarados and if gyarados has a belt then you assume charizard does too and in that case he still OHKO gyarados. so i think giving up ANY spots for a non fire basic is a bad move.

And really no interviews questions??? lol i love the card in this deck its acts an uxie in a sense and if you got the right bench out its even better :) i would like to see more in the deck to be honest but i am listing to what your saying im just giving my point of view on it. hmm and yes i think judge is a better choice then lookers and i was thinking to take out the oaks for a couple of seekers but i still have not play tested that yet but that move is one of the better i heard

the blazikin line i like alot like a 2-1 of blazikin FB and blazikin lvl X ill play test it asap thanks alot for that one for some reason i tryed infernape but not (sry for mispells doing this and playin with kid so no spell check

thanks alot and keep it all coming :) im reading it ALL

How about trying -3 energy, +1 quilava, and a 1-1 line of Rapidash from AR? You want the rare rapidash, since it's good against SP.

I'm in complete agreement about Uxie. Uxie is nt a good fit for this deck.

Re Spiritomb: What I do is always sacrifice the first Tomb. Because of that, I still end up with a bench full of fire. Personally, trading one prize for about 3 turns of trainer lock is worth is. Once set up, nothing in play can be OHKN by anything in any SP deck. It also stops junk arm in G-dos for a couple turns. So, after giving up the first prize you are getting 2 for 1.

Re Engineer's:I completely understand wanting to include this. However, I just think there are better draw options (Judge/Ninetales) for Engineer's to take up you Supporter slot for a turn. The Judge/Ninetales combo gives tou a 6 card hand while foing disruption.

Re Seeker: I have found that if I am having to heal, I'm not going to win anyway. So, I don't even bother with stacking Seeker. I play one and generally draw into during a game anyway. That one tends to be just enough to save a Typhlosion that is in danger.
