Well I remember hearing that a book in the library in D/P said:

There was a Pokemon that married a human.
There was a human that married a Pokemon.

In the olden days, people and Pokemon
were the same so it was ordinary.

But obviously that was taken out in the non-Japanese versions. If anyone has a Japanese D/P game and can read Japanese, I would really like to know if this is actually true.

Its tail is thick and powerful. If it binds an enemy, it can snap the victim's spine quite easily.

I think the anime is responsible for taking Pokemon in a lighter direction, it doesn't contain a lot of the stuff in the games' Pokedex or in the manga >.>
