Considering the "bad" versions already come in normal holo, RH, Deck holo, and Deck non-holo, having them be a promo would be kinda silly. Not saying it couldn't happen, but chances are good these are the Ability ones.

Good, because it's the only non-SR card I haven't been able to pull (aside from a single reverse foil one).

Even if they are being released in tins, look at the release date...it wont come out until October and by then City's will mostly be on the way with a new set in place (Emerging Powers). Also if PIP is continuing the new set every three months and Emerging Powers is the set for August, then in November we will be getting another set. By then, will Emboar actually be that good? Look at Canadian National Results if you think its popular after this weekend.
Sure, great tins for newcomers and collectors...as a player maybe not...

Free energy attachments without restrictions will always be a good thing. No matter how strange the format gets. Doesnt mean it will see play, but Emboar will be a card you wanna have lying around.

I'm glad to see them get a reprint, my friend has been looking to make the deck but cant get ahold of Emboars. Also what someone earlier said, reprinting the bad one would be redundant.
And we've never had redundant cards marketed to us before, have we? Not like rotated Cresselia/Darkrai X's? Or rotated packs packaged with good ones?
You can keep your optimism, I'll keep my expectations low and be positively surprised.

I agree with you on that. But are we sure it's the exact same one as the ability one? Not just separate prints and look alike art?

Now if only the tins come with a dozen booster codes to the PTCGO, then I will be happy. Anyways realistically I observed there is a gap in the numbering in the Promos for the BW Black Star Promo series and I am guessing these three will fill that gap.

You just might be a genius. That would COMPLETELY line up with Beartic being #30, something I couldn't figure out until now! Adding in those 9 makes 30 cards before Beartic, so we just probably wouldn't get the second Basculin, or one of the other redundants. O.O
