HGSS-on FloatZone for BRs

Late reply, but a benefit to Gatr is a few things:
1. If he's catchered, he has a bit more survivability than Floatzels do.
2. He's not limited to a single energy drop, but as many as you'd like. A single interviewers question can theoretically bring up 8 water energies, assuming you had 2 Floatzels down, it would take 4 turns to drop, Gatr does it in 1.
3. If you for whatever unfortunate reason can't get Magnezone set up quickly, Gatr is more than capable of dealing 100 damage a shot.

Floatzel is certainly faster, but Gatr is stronger/heavier.

@PvtArellano Of course you can, bro. It's my original concept (the FloatZone/ZPST hybrid), so just let me know how your testing goes :)

@Jesfa Although Gatr has much more survivability, Floatzel made the deck feel much less clunky with a second Stage 2. I tried it out, but it just took too long to hit the field ;-;

Thanks bro I dislike using Meta decks cuz everyone uses them so when I saw Tuesday it look original and a lot of fun

I agree. The meta consists of Donphan, Reshiram, Zekrom, and Yanmega. I wanted to build something different. So the first idea was BlastZel. Then I went to FloatZone, and then I made a hybrid of FloatZone and ZPST. Its a pretty strong deck, with the ability to operate under a lock. I give credit to my girlfriend for the concept, though lol

Yeah I get tired of seeing the same deck over and over and over its like oh look Yu have a zekrom I wonder wat your deck might be -.- its get annoying I just started playing Pokemon this year and it sucks me losing to decks that I see all the time

I'm gonna put it like my girlfriend put it to me:

This deck has a good counter to a lot of the meta decks. Floatzel one-shots Reshiram and Donphan with a Pluspower. Zekrom destroys Water decks and Yanmega, Tornadus is another Donphan counter. And if all else fails, Magnezone can one-shot anything anyways.

This deck has reacted very well to numerous situations. But, it definitely isn't perfect. I have gone against a Ross variant and I struggled, even though I have it designed to be able to operate under the lock.

how do you handle ZPST decks? thats all i need an answer for and I'm thinking of running this on Sunday...kinda of tired of the same ol decks

ZPST has proven to be a pretty even match. If they cannot donk me, I tend to set up extremely quickly. I went 3-1 against a ZPST, the one loss being a time that they donked me. However, if you give them too much time to set up, the deck will struggle. So, I guess you can say the verdict on that matchup is it is a race against the clock. lol

Zekrom. He has fantastic bulk and the ability to strike for phenomenal amounts of damage. If I can't attack with him, then 'Zone. Basically, I guess you can say I counter ZPST with my own.

Lol no one ever does. I am warning you ahead of time: this isn't a perfect deck, but something I have been working on for a while. If you lose in any matches, I would definitely like to know to what and what you thought it's problems were :)

Also, if you guys don't mind, shoot credit for the deck back in my direction. I know it may seem like I am trying to be full of myself, but I assure you that I am just excited that people wanna use my deck lol XD

Update: Going to try Feraligatr again. If he works better this time around, I will post what the changes were. Any comments on my current build? :)

Update: I playtested a bit against Gothitelle and BearPlume.

Gothitelle: 2-0
I went a pretty good game against Gothitelle, especially when it set up faster. But, Magnezone one-shots pretty much everything, so yeah.

BearPlume: 0-1
I wasn't able to do a second or third match, but it was really the doing of my deck. It hated me and didn't want me to draw into anything. And with all the trainers stuck in my hand, it took forever to get into a PONT or Juniper. It sucked. lol

I understand that the matches weren't much, and I decided not to test out Gatr this time around, but once I do I will let you guys know :]

Update: Cinccino is a big problem for this deck. It has lightning speed and sets up completely T2. I have only had a few instances where I can set up Magnezone or Zekrom/Tornadus fast enough to do anything. I need a counter for this furry demon or a way to speed the deck. I was thinking maybe Sage's?

Prioritizing the ZPST side of things more might help you; if you are able to pachi/shaymin in most games by turn two, you will either have a Tornadus who can get the KO with pluspower or a Zekrom who can do it with bolt strike. I'm running Magnezone/ZPST with no Floatzel at this point, but I haven't had much trouble with Cinccino. My problems come more late-game, which I suspect Floatzel helps with.

Hm, that sounds pretty interesting. ZPST early game, then FloatZone late game. How do you manage that? I would very much like to know :) since you are like my #1 PG bud lol XD

Meaning getting Zekrom/Tornadus out and ready to hit.

Update: Dumping Switch and putting in Pokemon Catcher. Getting fast prizes is imperative. Tried prioritizing ZPST, but ran into a few snags. Lost the matches I played.

How did it do in br? I'm thinking to remove zekrom for vileplume to slow down other decks and stop catcher. Still doing some testing
