I was wondering what the chances of getting mewtwo ex, zekrom ex, kyrum ex, and reshiram ex were in a booster box. I heard that two of these cards were going to be full arts..... If this is the case wouldnt we be guarnteed atleast 1 mewtwo ex per box?
 
Well, if ex pokemon are anything like the past ex and primes. The pull ratio should be about 4/5 to 6 per box plus to ultra rares(full arts/legends)

You have the same chances to pull a mewtwo ex as any other ex in the set so you'll be guaranteed 1 of each ex in a box, unless you can get 2 of the same. The full arts are a different story.
 
I am just trying to figure out why someone would pay 60 dollars for mewtwo ex, if they can buy a booster box for 90 bucks and get 3 more ex's and possibly 1 or 2 fullarts.

It's also hype and the fact it's mewtwo. People need to learn just because they use it in japan, does not mean it will work here. Just look at how bad CKE is doing.

If you get 5 boxes, you should get at least 4. You may get 5. I not sure if there are any other ex pokemon in the set. If there are 6+, you won't get 2 of something.

You clearly are out of touch with what's winning. CaKE is doing fine... And Mewtwo IS a good card. As for Mewtwo being overhyped, I agree.

On topic, 5 boxes SHOULD get you 4, if estimates on pull rates are correct.

Of course that's mostly based on Theorymon there.

People are paying a lot of money for Mewtwo EXs because they think that if it is a rarer pull than stuff like Primes and because it's seeing a lot of hype. It's mainly based off of concern that Mewtwo EXs will skyrocket to $80 or more (arbitrary guess, but I think you get my point)

Also, people are paying that much because thats what a retailer is pricing them at because they are being hyped to the point of stupidity.

In that case, all the more reason to buy Mewtwos.

Truthfully there really isn't a real way to know the pull ratio yet. EX Pokemon are new and there is a decent chance they will have new pull rates. I know nothing about the full art EXs but I assume they'll be rarer than the regular EXs...

I'm not the one to drop 60 bucks on a card. I'd rather spend the 30 more and get a box. You know, get the Mewtwo ex, 3-4 other ex pokemon and MAYBE pull a full art mewtwo ex.

As for the pull ratio, I do think they will be 4-6 ex pokemon per box, just like the primes and other super rares before them. I also don't think they would short print an ex due to hype.

Also, full art mewtwo ex. Who thinks it will reach 150 bucks?
 
My guess is that once people settle down about Mewtwo-EX it will probably go for about $20-30 regular and around $45-60 for the full art.
 
All I care about is a guaranteed Mewtwo EX per box, doesn't matter to me if it's a FA or not, I just need it to play with and I sure as heck am not going to preorder one for 60 bones when boxes cost 90.

Oh indeed. Me too. I'd never shell out more money for a card than for a box. I don't plan to. But the point of that comment was Ca/oKE and 6 corners are japan decks that were doing really well in japan. And I think that they did decently well stateside also, where we have better players nationwide. If Japan's metagame is anything to go on like it was with Ca/oKE then the Mewtwo hype is actually seeming quite realistic.
 
ok then I will hold off on buying the mewtwo ex's from troll and toad....................... and just pick up my 5 boxes! man ill be upset if all i get is reshiram/zekrom ex's!
 
I don't know if you're serious or not but if the price doesn't hold (Darkrai Lv. X anyone?) then you'll regret it...

Don't buy the Mewtwos up front at this price either but 5 boxes seems excessive.
