OK, we've all seen the hype, T&T pre-orders are up to $25 after 3 days, etc. I don't see it. Can somebody PLEASE explain to me how this card is good whatsoever?
Here's the deal.
Everybody stop hyping cards.
Everybody stop panic buying EXs in advance on T&T.
Then maybe we'll get stuff at a decent price when it is actually released.
Maybe. But is free retest worth being Catcher KO'd by a Terrakion for two prizes? Also, T-tar is all but negated by eviolite. (Though I did almost play it for states.
I don't see it?

You do realize not all decks play Terrakion right, especially if we see rotation. It can get catcher kill'd by Terrakion? So what so can Zekrom EX, and it still sees plenty of play. The free retreat is useful for a lot of decks, and that includes Terrakion's retreat problem.
lightning decks have better alternate attackers like thundurus and zekrom and can recover better than darkness decks because of eelektriks. Lightning decks doesnt need zekrom ex on the bench because of eels and if i expect a terrakion i wont play zekrom ex unless i have to or the trade is good for me.
Darkness decks dont have good basic attacker yet and darkrai ex has to be on bench to be useful.
However i dont like the "terrakion theorymon" argument. Basically every card is bad if terrakion can revenge ko it.
Not to mention some decks (like Zoroark) don't even care about being return KO'd by a Terrakion.I compared Darkrai EX to Zekrom EX only due to the obvious HP amount, though I do see what you're saying. However Darkrai isn't limited to dark decks since and can be splashable, though results will vary. (As for Eels recovering easier, don't forget Dark Patch is coming out with Darkrai so Darkness will improve in that respect)
I do agree that the Terrakion fear is...over the top. Terrakion takes two turns to set-up, and even then can be minimalized if you play well, but that's off topic.
And if Japan's meta was any indicator, Dark decks did fantastically.
Japans meta also indicated that Lostgar, Tyranitar, and Reshi_________ w/ Cobalion would be good here. I personally don't take Japans Meta into account, it's much different than ours. Aside from that, Dark Pokemon should do fine.
That's a shame because it also indicated that Zekrom/Eels, Chandelure, Celebi/Mewtwo, 6 Corners, and C/K/E would be good too.
You'd be a fool to just blindly accept that everything that's good in Japan would work elsewhere, but you would be just as big a fool to ignore it completely.
