I personally value it about $5 higher than the regular one because I collect misprints. If it were for trade, I would snatch it up.

Cool,so its worth collecting and is a known error/misprint?,any ideas on how many could be out there?,maybe from a different print run or something.i find it very interesting being a secret card and having the error, thanks for your help...

I guess it depends when they caught the error, rarity matters. I'm almost surprised they corrected it at all since it makes no difference and isn't a misspelling.

I collect misprints though, in addition to playing competitivly, so this card is probably only worth more to someone like me. Not sure though.

First I heard of it. Looking at ebay, only errors are listed, or at least pictured. Even in the completed auctions there is only one corrected version.

I think that people wouldn't notice it that well so they wouldn't pay much for it.

See base set Wartortle>Wartortle only better since it is a super rare. This has big potential.

Thanks for all the feedback/replies.well im kind of new to pokemon, but im truely hooked(collecting that is).i tryed searching for this error and couldnt find anything so i joined here.now im currently laying out my doubles to see if there are any more ND error/misprint stage 2/1s they may have printed as well, but nothing so far.i cant see it possible but could this be a first and only find...

i have the same error zoroark. i am wondering if the corrected version is more worth than the error version.

EDIT: pokegym gallery and pokebeach also have the error version.

I'm guessing that the error is from the first print run and the corrected version is from a second print run.
It's things like this that confirm info about print runs.

Both of the ones that I have, from when the set first came out, have the error.

Flygon frank 66, Possibly, possibly not...

As PokePop says, the error may have been printed in the first print run and corrected in the second. If however, there were more print runs of the error, for example the first and second print runs had the error card and was corrected in the third. Then the error would be more common, and the corrected card more rare.

We will not be able to say unless there is a definitive number of the print runs made and when the card was corrected.

*If I am incorrect please correct me but do not be agreesive about it as i'm not great with English cards/print runs.
:)

I agree with your point!

It just seems obvious that the corrected version is more rare > edit: at the moment < because everyone seems to have the error.

Like waynegg said, only photos of the error are listed on eBay.

Yeah most likely if they're mainly all errors on eBay then they are more common I suppose.
Just if there were two print runs (one error, one corrected) then wouldn't there be roughly the same amount so we should be seeing a mixed variety of error/corrected?

I wish there was a list of print runs and such, it really would make life in the TCG much easier!

But a lot of sellers get their pictures form pokebeach and other sites. It is very plausible that the card you receive won't be the one pictured. So, sadly, that isn't as good a reference as it could be.
