Hello, I am in need of help with my Pokemon white team. Here it is:
Archeops- Adamant @Flying Gem
252 Speed EVs, 252 Attack EVs
Acrobatics
U-Turn
Earthquake
Rock Slide

Hydreigon- Timid @Life Orb
252 Speed EVs, 252 Sp. Attack EVs
Dark Pulse
Dragon Pulse
Focus Blast
Flash Cannon

Conkeldurr- Adamant @Leftovers
All the right EVs
Mach Punch
Drain Punch
Bulk Up
Rock Slide

Amoonguss- Lax @Rocky Helmet
???
Rage Powder
Spore
Synthesis
Giga Drain

Blissey- Impish @Light Clay
No clue what EVs.
Softboiled
Psychic
Light Screen
Thunder Wave

Chandelure- Rash @ Focus Sash
252 SPD, 252 Sp. Atk.
Will-O-Wisp (You have no idea just how many games this has won me.)
Flame Burst (Can't get Flamethrower.)
Psychic
Shadow Ball

The idea is to have an answer to everything your opponent has. The only problems I am facing are the Latis. I use Tailwind+Dragon Pulse to KO them. What do you guys think?

EVERYTHING should have protect if you are playing in the VGCs.

Hydregion needs to lose flash cannon and use surf instead.
Conkeldurr should use flame orb with guts. The attack boost is too good to pass up :thumb:
Amoonguss could benefit from black sludge with a sassy nature.

And you are missing your 6th pokemon. I would consider Zapdos as an all around great pokemon.
Zapdos @ Fire Gem
Bold, 252 Sp.Atk 252 Def, 6 HP
Heat Wave
Thunderbolt
Detect
Tailwind

this will give you a second tailwind option and an all-around bulky special attacker.

Thanks for the help! I am not a competitive player, but I do have 125 wins on WiFi, and I was in the top 800 in the autumn friendly. I already have a physical sweeper in the form of Archeops, Conkeldurr is more of a defensive Pokemon. I didn't upload my final Pokemon because I am unpacking all of my stuff from a move, but I haven't found my White yet.
And how do you become a Mod? I would like to help the Pokemon Community in any way possible!

What are "all the right EVs"? Conkeldurr-- and most other mons-- have multiple "right" spreads. It entirely depends on why you're using him, and what he needs to defend against when covering your weaknesses.

Additionally, why does Whimsicott have Modest nature when it doesn't have any damaging moves? This should be switched to something defensive so it can survive.

... among other things. :D

I generally dislike Archeops, sure it hits extremely hard...for 1 turn; after that, almost any attack will knock him below 50% HP or OHKO it. I'd probably consider something more...longer lasting I guess? There's plenty of other good physical sweepers out there like Garchomp, and if you really like the whole Acrobatics/Flight Gem thing, Tornadus offers that and some fun supportive options too.

Also seconding the better nature for Whimsicott, something like Bold, Calm, etc. Just not a -Spe nature.

Which also doesn't matter at all given that all his moves work off of Prankster anyway...

Whimsicott has a base 116 speed
Tornadus has a base 111 speed

You want to make sure 'cott is faster than a +Speed 252 Tornadus - a total of 5 points difference.
So having +Speed nature and 220 speed EVs (at level 50 for VGC) you will outrun Tornadus's prankster.

Hi, VGC 2011 called and they want their Tornadus back.

And Tornadus is still a viable Pokemon for 2012 as well. Sure it isn't used as much now because of the much larger options available, but still a great Pokemon - and one you would like to out speed with Whimsicott so that you can get your moves off before taking a taunt.

Protect is not vital for all Pokemons for VGC.

I very much disagree. Protect can be VERY potent in VGC. 95% of the usable pokemon should have protect/detect at all times unless you have a choice item. This is just from my experience in the format and I am sure many VGC vets will agree how much use protect gets.

I understand what you're saying it CAN be really good and should be on most Poke's but it's not necessarliy needed to win and most teams do just fine without it.

There's a critical difference between 100% and any other % even if it's just 95%. 100% means you put the move on without even thinking if it's really necessary or not. Even something like 99.6% means you need to stop and think if the Pokemon you are looking at is in the 0.4%. There is absolutely no doubt about the importance of Protect in the VGC format, but even outside of Pokemon with Choice Items they don't all always run Protect. In particular, Hitmontop usually opts for Wide Guard and Cresselia frequently doesn't even care about having a Protect like move.
