Ahh the age old discussion...
Which do you think is better... and why?

I myself LOVE blister packs, if I can purchase them at the same price or cheaper than boosters I will.
I know I do purchase booster packs online too... but for the most part I LOVE blisters...

I'll give you an example of my love...

Yesterday, I purchased 5 blister packs... I got.... Registeel EX
Today I purchased 5 blister packs... I got.... Registeel EX, Ho-Oh EX, Hydreigon, Emolga RH among others...

I personally believe blister packs are better because of the more random odds.
I mean buying $100 worth of packs for 2-3 EXs (especially now that it is 0-7)...
I don't want to gamble my money for definite odds, well now they aren't so definite...

I'd rather chance my luck...
Sometimes it is a fail, like yesterday (even though ANY EX is good). and sometimes I am lucky (like today!)

I can't wait for my 14 blisters from trollandtoad, alongside with 6 boosters coming in... Will post my gets... As well as 18 booster packs from pokemonforever...

What is your opinion?

Depends, some people like getting a sealed box because they feel like they are guaranteed to get a certain number of rare cards.

But it seems like I have Been running into a lot of good blisters.
I have Gotten 3 Ho-Oh ex, 1 Ho-Oh ex Fa, and Registeel out of buying small amounts of blisters

When Dark Explorers came out I got 5 blisters. I pulled Groudon ex full art and Entei ex.
Same thing with Next Destinies. Got 5 blisters and pulled Mewtwo ex and Shaymin ex full art.
Going back farther, I bought five Emerging Powers blisters. Got full art Tornadus and full art Thunderus.
Bought probably 20+ blisters (at different times) of B&W base and got 3 full art Reshiram and 2 full art Zekrom.
I've also pulled crap quite a few times lol
Overall I think blisters are better for ultra rares but not so much for normal holos.

Ratios: I might take that challenge up, save $75 or send in $75 more worth of cards to trollandtoad. And buy 36 blisters.

Blisters are in the plastic bubble, like how blisters can form on your skin. Boosters come from booster boxes, they are usually found in comic stores.

As for ratios, DGX is usually 3 EX, 1 FA, 1 Shiny. But its inconsistent as we have people reporting only 1 normal EX in a box, or people getting multiple FA's.

As for blisters, I got 7 spread over 3 stores. (Fredmeyer, Walmart, Target). 1 Shiny, 1 holo. 3 Reverse rares, all of them were duplicates of normal forms (Aggron, Magmortar, Walrein)

Bought a DEX blister with krookodile from BW on it today. Pulled FA Kyogre EX. Second blister in a row with an EX.

This was the blister that had 2 packs

this was a while back.

1 blister -> 1 Groudon*

blisters all the way!

no but seriously, I feel better buying a random pack than buying a 1 in 12 average for an EX (well, not with this set but from the past 2 sets anyways). I know it doesn't make too much of a difference as far as actual results go in general, but it just feels better with an absolutely random pack rather than being faced with discouraging odds.

I remember a while ago I bought the last unleashed blister for the stormfront pack in it. I told my mate 'I'm getting this for the reprint Charizard'. Pulled it. Happy times...

My blister luck is worse than my booster luck. I had resoundingly bad luck with Dark Explorers, but the only EXs I pulled were from boosters, and not blisters... And I have a bad habit of buying a blister two or three times a week.

And actually, I've had super great success with the loose packs that Wal-Mart has been selling lately. They're marked down ($3.33 in my area), but their all older sets... Though base BW has popped up, so EPO might show up soon too.

That 3.33 thing pisses me off. Some woman at the cashier assumed it was the wrong price so I was charged 4.18 instead.

Same thing happened at a similar walmart. 1 ND and 1 EPO

That's insane. The price is what it's scanned for, she shouldn't be able to change it. $3.33 is absolutely correct for the loose packs, it's on the box and right beneath them on the shelf :thumb:
