Move It To A High School!!!??? Darn It Now I Will Never Get Missy To Go! She Hated High School. Hey Clay Are You Going To Put On The Whole Lunch Lady Hair Net Thing And Gloves? Pizza I Was Hoping For Sloppy Joes And Tots. Hehehe This Gonna Be Fun.

Sloppy Joes and Tots...you wish the food at my school was that good...

It will be interesting...NO Tables...we will play all matches in DESKS facing each other...NO JOKE!!

It will be great...I owe my Principle and luck a huge debt on this one. We just happen to be scheduled on the same weekend as SATURDAY SCHOOL!! He said that since they would be there anyway, we could go ahead and use the room for the day.

Clay

Sloppy Joe...Slop Sloppy Joe....

I hear a song coming on!

If I wanted to play Pokemon, I would...um...go to school?

School, wait, doesn't that discriminate against all the homeschooled players?
(Yeah, right, there are no decent homeschooled players!)

Taylor's "home field" advantage again, eh?

Love it...

Hey I am homschooled and I am a good Pokemon Trainer
Irony comes in play when you put a mark on a group of people...
This just gives me a even bigger reason to WIN.:thumb:

Id be so mad if my pto tried a stunt like this.

Why?....please elaborate and what STUNT am I trying....there is NO try...Its a done deal? I am trying to give my players room to breathe.....there will be no students at my school to bother us ...plus only 1 of my players attends my school...Of course you know nothing about the school I teach, so I can't expect informed responses.

We will have an entire wing of my school to ourselves...

Bleh,desks? Seems awkward.

Again...people speak before they have any idea what they are talking about. Trust me it works....you guys comment that there will not be enough room at Hobbytown for all the players...I go out, finally find an alternative venue, and I get complaints...if you find it not to your liking, please refrain from attending so you will not feel awkward. Try and work on a more positive outlook in life...

that sounds horrible

If you compare having enough space for 120 people with 120 people in attendance versus room for maybe 80 uncomfortably when you have 120 people....you tell me which is better. I am sure you think I should have "Located a different space".....do you not think that maybe it was attempted? Sounds easy as a player...just go out and rent hotel space....not as easy as it sounds...believe it or not other people often rent these spaces on the weekend and make them unavailable or the rental price is a bit more than feasible to pay.

But go ahead..everyone has an opinion....I just love it when folks comment on my tournaments who have NEVER been to one.

Just remember before you criticize any PTO in the future....WE DO THIS FOR YOU believe it or not

Smiles everyone.....smiles

Because 90% of the desks in my high school were like This or This.

If they are like this then its a little better.

But it is your tournament and I wish you the best of luck with it.

Clay: School is kool! Hope the venue works out well. I know I would prefer to have plenty of room vs. being squeezed while playing. GL with the event!

I don't really know anything about the size of the desks, so all I can do is assume when you make a comment like that. I'll be there regardless of the venue, but as I said it does seem a bit awkward

the desks are a combo of both...seat built into the desk portion...The Desk top is actually quite large..more than enough space for 1 persons play space.

Desk tops are 2' by 18"...not too big/not to small

I really did think this out before commiting to it...the only really awkward part is getting in and out of the desk, but that is minor

I will have no problem getting in and out of the desks. I only do it about 100 times a day :p

Desks are big enough trust me.

The only concern I would have Clay, is some of the Pokemon players are shaped liked Snorlax. Will they fit comfortably in these?

Clay would be perfectly willing to lend his personal chair to this person shaped like Snorlax. XD
