The base of the deck is pretty simple, don't let your opponent evolve. Now that is said and done here's the deck. I'm hoping to play this or another deck for regionals, the other deck uses Yenma with spinning tail and Omastar to play like a cheap rock-lock.... Keep spinning tails and then de-evolve everything. (gimme your opinions on the yanma deck if you think it's even worth throwing a deck list together.)

Cradil Robber:

Pocket Monsters(17)
--------------------
2 Houndoom UF
2 Houndour UF
2 Kabutops PK
2 Kabuto PK
3 Omastar PK
4 Omanyte PK
1 Cradily PK
1 Lileep PK

Trainers(28)
----------------------
4 Mysterious Fossil
3 Rare Candy
2 Strange Cave
3 Celio's Network
3 Wally's Training
2 Copycat
2 Mary's Request
2 Bill's Maintenance
3 Windstorm
2 Holon Lass
2 Space Center

N.R.G(15)
--------------------
2 Fire Energy
2 Water Energy
3 Fighting Energy
2 Scramble Energy
4 Double Rainbow Energy
2 Rainbow Energy

Now let me explain my card choices:
PKMN
-------------
Houndoom/dour: To stop candys and any other card that'd shut off Poke bodies like cess crystal or a stadium.

Kabuto/ps: The key component of the deck shutting down evolving is pretty jive where I come from. So this guy is the base of the entire deck. I'm not sure if the 2-2 line is too little... With so many decks not using solid basics i think it's perfect.

Omanyte: This guy is amazing he sets up the combo and is the back bone of the deck. Your best bet is to grab lileep and hope to evolve it to Cradily to go grab the combo.

Omastar: A PKMN with ATM: Rock built in. It's good to stall ecspecially against Candy heavy decks like MSNBC. Also it's nice to De-evolve and then send out Kabutops to keep those cards in their hands and not to mention this attack can also KO if they have DMG counters on them.

Cradil/eep: It lets you grab the combo if you bring out lileep with Omanyte you grab Omastar, Kabutops, and Kabuto. I originally had the line at 2-2 but i changed it but I'm debating changing it back.

Trainers:
-----------------
Mysterious Fossil: Because sometimes in life you can't rely on getting a houndour.

Rare Candy: Thinking about upping this to 4. This card is self explanatory.

Strange Cave: This card just helps, even though I'm thinking it may be unnecessary. This is why I need your guys' help.

Celio's Network: To grab combo pieces. This helps alot, it lets you grab any PKMN in your deck.

Wally's Training: This slot was originally Great Ball but i thought to myself I can grab fossil and houndour and that's it. If you have fossil active then you can just training into practically any PKMN in your deck.

Copycat: It seemed to trendy not to throw in so I did.

Mary's Request: I just wanted some draw because I don't run Holon engine or delta draw so I needed something.

Bill's Maintenance: Same thing, just to draw cards. Did you know that there's no non-supporter trainer cards that let you draw.... That sucks.

Windstorm: I hate Stadium cards almost as much as I hate PKMN tools especially ones that shut off Kabutops and Houndoom.

Holon Lass: Random throw in thought I'd have trouble with NRG so I kinda put it in.. I didn't get to test this deck yet....

Space Center: I love this card because it shuts off Lati-lock which hurts me immensely. Thinking about going up to 3. Alot of lati-lock around my way.

NRG:
--------------
Double Rainbow: No ex's WHAT!?!?!... Yeah this card is kind of a big deal.

Scramble: Can be thrown on practically any of my pkmn, awesome...

Single rainbow: Tri-colored deck, I just thought it'd be a good idea. Maybe multi energy since if i attach DRE I'd be fine even if multi turns into a colorless.

Basics: I don't know... I got lazy when it came down to the NRG... So this section needs help

Well all help will be appreciated. And unlike other people I'll actually re-write deck lists as suggestions are added.

You seem to have thought this out and spent time on it, but I still don't understand how it works. Kabutops only stops the opponents Active Pokemon from evolving, so if you Omstar their Evolutions down to Basics and Stage 1, they will just evolve all over again before you send up Kabutops. Even if they miss a turn or something, their bench is still free to evolve. Rock-Lock had the ability to damage them as Basics and when they evolved, making the whole ATM-Rock devastating. I've been running plays in my head and I just don't see how this works, besides disrupting Rare Candied Pokemon.

As for your Spinning Tail deck, I think that is a much better idea, save for the fact that Yanma gets a one-shot from just about everything popular in the format and it has to flip. In all my efforts to create a deck like that, they've all failed. However, Rayquaza ex d Likitung d are examples of really good sniping Pokemon that could set the opponent up for a crippling Omstar attack. Cursed Stone might help as well. GL

Overall, I like the deck. Here are some potential issues that I see:
1) You only have 6 basics, and 4 have no way to be obtained. More often than not, you will be mulliganing, and your starts may be a bit slow, even with Strange Cave.
2) I see Houndoom being worked around, since your combo fills your bench up, you'll usually have at least three benched Pokemon including Houndoom.
3) Instead of Mary's Request, try Steven's Advice, since drawing 1 isn't much draw.

What I would do:
Get rid of the Houndoom line. Let the opponent use their Rare Candys up, so you could smack them with Omastar. I would also get rid of the Mysterious Fossils and Rare Candy, and play + 4 Mawile and + 4 Lunatone. Here is how your startup will go every time:
Turn 1: Attach to Mawile/Lunatone and Grab Strange Cave
Turn 2: Play Strange Cave, Bench Omanyte, Retreat for Omanyte, Influence for Kabuto and Lileep
Turn 3: Evolve to Cradily, grab Kabutops and Omastar. Attack with Omastar, or retreat for Kabutops.
For the Pokemon try 4/2 Omastar, 3/3 Kabutops, and 2/2 Cradily. The energy actually looks ok, except you won't need Fire anymore. Let me know if this helps!

Also, for the other deck, you might want to try the Registeel ex Mercury build with a tech'd Omastar line :)

Wow..... Way to go me for not reading a card.... I didn't fully read Kabutops....It is there active... I'm sorry guys but this deck is junk.

Here's a salvage version of it...... ugh...I can't beleive i misread Kabutops

Cradil Robber:

Pocket Monsters(24)
--------------------
2 Kabutops 'delta'
2 Kabuto PK
2 Omastar PK
4 Omanyte PK
2 Cradily PK
2 Cradily LM
2 Lileep PK
4 Mawile
4 Lunatone

Trainers(21)
----------------------
2 Strange Cave
3 Celio's Network
3 Wally's Training
2 Copycat
2 Steven's Advice
2 Bill's Maintenance
3 Windstorm
2 Holon Lass
2 Space Center

N.R.G(15)
--------------------
2 Grass Energy
2 Water Energy
2 Electric
2 Scramble Energy
4 Double Rainbow Energy
3 React Energy

Blah.... I guess the idea of the deck is to use Cradily LM to disrupt them.

That's OK. At a pre-release I Boosted a Tropius, lol.

As for your deck, I like the Luna/Mawhile thing, but you only have two Strange Cave! 4 is a must, since all your opponent has to do is counter you twice and then you've no options.

yea i was gonna say your missing React energy for Cradily but you seem to have some now. and you'll want 4... heres my fixes.

-2 scramble
-2 electric
-2 holon lass
-4 Lunatone
-3 wallys training
-2 Space Center

+2 strange cave
+4 Scotts
+2 Fighting
+4 Holon Castform
+2 Grass
+1 Celios

since ur not gonna be using the Fosils and rely on Strange Cave. your gonna need Scotts to get your staduims out and played to eve play any of your main pokemon. usign more Basic Energy could be used as well as the Castforms to get your DRE off and do max damage

I think this deck can do well with 4 Mawile as the only basics. Odds are it will take a couple mulligans, but you'll always be guaranteed the Mawile start If, in testing, you get way too many mulligans, you could consider going to 4 Mawile and one or two Lunatone, but not four and four. That's just a waste when they will be completely useless after your setup. And Lunatone can't get supporters, can't do the neat tool trick, and has psychic weakness which in my opinion is a bit worse than fire weakness (think Mew EX, Banette EX, Espeon EX, etc. vs.. um.. Arcanine EX? Sally d?) And Lunatone has a pokebody, which makes it vulnerable to zzzap and the like once you bench it for one of your attackers. Also, take a look at Armaldo d from Holon Phantoms. His second attack could be decent for spreading damage to setup for Omastar's pull down, but you won't want to run claw, root or mysterious fossil because they would be bad starters, so if you go with Armaldo d, max out on the trainer Holon Fossil.

As for an effective spinning tail attack, I've been thinking about the two Shiftry EXes. PK Shiftry does Dirge, and CG Shiftry does Target Attack, both decent for spreading damage around. I would probably want to pair Shiftry with some eeveelutions though, because Target Attack needs damage on the pokemon already in order to do the full 50 (insert Jolteon EX here) and Dirge needs the active pokemon to have the same name as some of the benched pokemon (insert Umbreon EX here) and then Espeon EX can be your devolver. And on top of all of this, you can run Shiftry LM for a free scoop up on your eeveelutions and an auto confusion attack, or Shiftry DX for a forced switch on your opponents' pokemon. The eeveelutions should counter Shiftry's double weakness nicely, but that I have to test out a bit. And Shiftry CG, Jolteon EX, and Espeon EX all have free retreat, so special conditions shouldn't be a problem either. The only problem with this sort of deck would be an inconsistent or slow setup, and no spectacular starter pokemon.

Great Suggestions. I'm going to do some heavy play testing on these just to see how they do, I've done some and it doesn't seem consistent enough to really beat the Archetype. But I'll continue tweaking it until I can get it well enough.

I've tested this and it runs pretty well. I don't think it'll be good enough for states but that'll take more play testing.

For the other deck idea i'm still split on that one. I came up with a similar deck but I'll start a new thread for that one.
