2-1 (and 1 game decided on time) and then 2-1 (with a game loss I hear? this true?) isn't really enough to say it wins the matchup. I think it's close but probably 60-40 for empoleon, I've tested it tons before nats

Well, I'll take your word for it, I never tested it before nats.

Ape out speeds the deck...... The deck may have type advantage but Ape has speed to match it.

i bet metanite will be played at worlds.
its not becuz on U.S metanite didnt make the cut it wont be played.
remember metanite won some nats, BR, etc...
and the US nats metagame is not worlds metagame.
And i agree with Kempley about ape.
Also, i dont belive Absolutions (spead spread, whatever) will be hugely played only becuz it won in the U.S .

Well Speed spread will be definetly played at Worlds because of its techability. You can Tech in to it anything so you can counter every single deck in the metagame which has good match-ups against it. It just simply a pure SKILL deck. It's probably my favourite deck in the format and if I had get to Worlds with my 2055 Points I would have played it anyways.

It takes skill to beat it and it takes skill to beat with it. But Ape and MetaNite will definetly be "bigger" than at Worlds because of so much non-US players. But SD will be used for sure, I can confirm it by now already.

Zap-Turn-Dos will win worlds. You'll see what I mean when the time comes

Speed Spred will be played now like no tomorrow. LucariO eeveeluTIONs Lotion as DFB calls it seem like another stong deck that may have an higher advantage over the metagame. Banette made a strong showing at US nats and those with lucky match ups will defenitly top cut with it. Ludicargo is the oldest deck in the format, SOMEBODY will play it. Ape will make a showing which rivals Blaziken of 04. Yet a rogue/uncommon deck will prevail, such as Magma, Queendom & Pow-block, and Mewtric & Jimmylutions has.

Of Corse, an Archetype will defenitly win in the Junoir devision. 11-14 its a coin toss, they're are defenitly players skilled enough in this division who could take it with a SD, but they might play it save and go with an Arch who knows....

yes yes I know Mewtric was knowen before worlds, but it defenitly wasn't a top tier archetype. (in terms of numbers at least)

I expect the Japanese players will bring some kind of Ryperior deck....I saw it somewhere that there Ryperior decks are insane. The UK Obviously will be metanite. US will be SD all the way or Speed Spread(BDIF). I have no idea what other will play....France will play the french toast deck:thumb:

How can u automatically think of an SD for US. There wasn't an SD at Nationals except for obvious Absol and apparently everyone had ambush down.

They were SD's at Nationals, aside from ambush. And Speed Spred / absolutions wasn't new. How about Ray ex d?
Alot if not most of the SDs that were played didn't make it into the spotlight, which keeps them in the surprise factor for Worlds. (Same thing happend two years ago with Queendom)

That was because of the unfounded hype over Infernape, trust me, it will be at worlds.

The hype over Infernape didn't stop Jaeger from running Scizor ex and becoming the runner-up US National Champion.

There were Metanites there, but they couldn't take the heat (does it).

Actually, infernape can beat ambush deck. I've seen it happen. I was surprised that infernape can beat ambush. =/

Japan was playing with electinite and winning wit it. So they may bring their version of the deck.

Absolutions will be played at worlds,its a great deck to play,in europe area I heard they were playing destiny for a minute. I think Destiny would do good if someone plays it,its worse matchup is 50

What are Metanites good match ups?? >.> I think it would be a waste to play metantie in worlds as just about every new deck beats it now. If you wanna go all the way Metanite is NOT the play. Yea monkey CAN beat ambush but its still in favor of the ambush deck. There were a few sds that made top cut but they all went down in the top cut somehow.

SLOW DECK's Ray ex d deck?

I thought that was destiny??? Or atleast I thought it was. I think it was also the fact that Rob was not a hyped up player, but had great skill that wasn't highlighted this year like winning a Regionals and a State I think...
