Item cloning question.

Ok I don't come to this board much and there may have already been a topic or discussion about this or something but does anyone know the right way to clone items? I don't want to clone a pokemon with the item because I can't since my Wi-Fi is down.
I looked on Gamefaqs and they didn't have anything and if they don't have anything then nothing else probably will.

I tried a way that my brother told me about where you do a double battle with two other trainers anywhere and use a Ditto and a pokemon that can use thief. Then give the pokemon with theif the item you want to clone then obviously you get Ditto to transform into the thief pokemon you have then next turn have the Ditto use theif on the other pokemon with the item. I didn't have high hopes myself and suprise suprise it didn't work!
So if someone knows a good way to clone only the item then it would be apreciated.

they took the giltch out for the english version, along with a lot of other glitches. the only way to clone w/o a cheat device is the GTS method, which i havent tried.

My friend, those 999 Master Balls (or whatever it is you want to clone) will have to wait till you can get back on Wi-fi, cause you ain't cloning them otherwise.

"It's okay, because I only cheat a little bit"?

Marril, I'm not going to argue about this again. It's okay, because aside from being able to give freely to the community at no loss to myself (prizes), there is absolutely no personal gain. I get bragging rights and that's it.

Ooooo Marriljustgotowned.com! Hehe uh yeah....anyway thats not what I'm saying. What I consider cheating is doing something illegal that allows you to get pumped up and/or rare pokemon at no cost and something that would make you unfairly stronger. My brother does that.

My definition of cheating is doing something that will award you personal gain for less effort than it would take to do it the way you are told. For instance, the Door Glitch. It's a tradeoff, focus for patience. Instead of having to be patient and wait for a Darkrai Event to come your way, you trade in your patience for an equal amount of focus. Plus, there's serious risk, you could very easily get lost forever in the Void if you miscalculate. That isn't cheating, that's taking initiative.

Not in the slightest. What you fail to realize is that cloning is still cheating, even if there is no perceived advantage. It doesn't magically stop being cheating just because you don't like to be called a cheater. If you've ever heard of the saying, "if the shoe fits, wear it," then you'll know what I'm talking about.

That Darkrai example is pure bull hockey, I might add. Cheating can be as simple as violating player expectations about the game (the definition used by the legendary online game designer Raph Koster). Players, on the whole, would probably expect that their opponent wouldn't cheat, if only of the simple virtue of never having heard of the glitch, or not thinking that others would use it (similar to how hotly contested getting 128 of an item at once through MissingNo. was). By abusing this, you violate their expectations, and thus are cheating. End of debate.

I'm sorry, but "it's not cheating because I don't want to be called a cheater" simply doesn't fly. Flimsy rationalization does nothing except make you look foolish and ignorant.

Marril, I'm not going to discuss this with you again, and I advise everyone else to avoid getting into this conversation with her. It's completely futile. She won't change her mind, s just forget about it and ignore her whenever she tries to begin this conversation.

I learned its pointless reasoning with her a long time ago. And I never invited her to this topic even of she has access to it. suprise suprise I still disagree with you but say I am just doing something and AM calling it cheating. Will that change whether theres a way or not? It dosen't look like it. This topic wasen't made for you to come and call me a cheater which I am not. apparently no one yet has a way other than cloning pokemon. ANd believe it or not I agree with you that "Its not cheating because I don't want to be called a cheater" dosen't cover it. But I never said that or intended something I said to be taken as such. Marril you really should do debate or something you'd be good at it.
