Take a moment to remember the events of 9/11 and be thankful to the soldiers and their families for our freedom. I never thought U.S. soil would be attacked like that ..... atleast not in my lifetime.
I found a website called myGoodDeed.org it allows you to post the good deeds that you will do in rememberance of 9/11. Turning a catastrophic and horrific day into a giving and volunteering day hopefully for years to come.
What will your good deed be? I drove my Mom around town running errands....on my day off!! And will probably help my neighbor lady with her garden. Whatever you do it will matter. Even if it is just cleaning your room (kids) or calling a loved one. Let's spread the word and do a good deed.
my clock radio is set for 6:15 am, and i awoke to hear bob edwards (...miss him! ) on npr's 'morning edition' breaking away from scheduled programming to talk about the first plane going into the tower. i then turned on cnn on the tv in the bedroom, and saw the second plane go in...
my kids were in 1st and 5th grade then. thankfully my rule since preschool days has been NO tv on school mornings...after getting them to school i came home and watched tv coverage for a short while then got sick of it and returned to npr instead. i don't need to see the same footage over and over and over, ad nauseum, thank you very much...
Didn't even know what day it was till I had to date a contract. You guys must be very patriotic over there remembering things like this? Is it still seen as a big deal? I mean a lot's happened since then.

thousands of innocent americans died in an instant
there memory can at least be carried on
a lot has happened, but these lives will never come back
that is why we remember, so we do not allow it to happen again
