Pokémon TCG: Sword and Shield—Brilliant Stars

This may seem stupid, but I think something is fishy in PBR...

Okay, make sure you understand that I DON'T HACK POKEMON!

However, I do have a Pokemon (shiny Palkia) that I know is hacked because it says that it was caught on Route (something...). Palkia can only be caught at the Spear Pillar, so it is very obviously fake.

So, I start my PBR game, knowing that the Palkia should show up as a 'Bad Egg' when I check my storage. But it doesn't. It is completely playable, and shows up like there's nothing wrong with it.

Is my PBR game missing its 'hack checker'? Or does it not show up as a bad egg until you try battling with it? I just opened my PBR, so please forgive my ignorance. Thanks for helping.

Only badly hacked Pokemon will appear as a bad egg, a good hacked one will bypass it just fine. Sad, but true.

Nintendo should come out with a Patch to fix that, but you will never know if they will. I have my doubts about it.

As for Hacked Pokemon being shown on PBR, well I've got a Shiny Gardevoir caught at Lv. 35 in Lake Acuity, which isn't possibble, but it's legit in PBR. I've released it though.

The only hacking it catches that I've seen from my own experience is Pokemon with over the 510 EV sum. Locations, levels, shiny or not, it means nothing to it, from my experience.

Yeah, at the tournament at Gamestop, there was a guy who had starters sent out with Master Balls. Nothing happened. ;/

i sent out a shiney furret with volt tackle that's first met place was new moon island
PBR allowed it
i am not joking

agreed. at the game stop tourny a month ago the girl who got 2nd place bragged how she hacked her pokemon (my room mate told her thats why he won, cuz she dident do it her self). she hacked without the game noticing, taking away a prize from someone who very well dident cheat.

but yeah, i think that PBR only checks for EV's and attacks.

same thing with the JAA tournys. a kid said he made it to top with hacked pokemon, and thats when they said to send in your game for legality.

...i hate these threads. they make me sick, and there are too many of them.

the best thing nintendo has done is block AR's/Sharks from the Wii altogether, so i think that our prayers for a decent cheated pokemon filter in PBR is not inpossible.

You found Nintendo's SECRET SHINY FURRET GIVEAWAY! :O

But yeah. I know it fails there.

How, exactly? There is always the SD card slot...

A little off topic (I guess). I was thinking about buying this game (Pokemon Battle Revolution).

I just had a question.

Since you "Copy" your Pokemon off of either Diamond or Pearl onto this game. Can you do it the other way round, like you could in Colleseum? IE if there is a Ho-Oh (or some other legend) in the game, can you copy it to either Diamond or Pearl (thus avoiding potential cheating).

Depends what you mean by "copy". If you mean transfer the data of all your Pokemon from that DS card for that save file into a "storage" on the Wii, like a photocopy of your Pokemon that you can't "trade" with others off of the Wii, yes. If you mean "trading" the Pokemon for a Pokemon that's from PBR, like the story modes of Col. and XD, then no.

However, you can get a Surfing, Volt Tackling Pikachu imported onto your game via wireless.
True, as can be obtained a Magmortar of Electivire (though unknown means),
a Pikachu with those moves can be transfered as a Mystery Gift from the Wii to your game after beating the main set of stadiums.

the last Wii system update added a clock to the bottom and such, but what was failed to mention was that if you put in a Action replay/freeloader/shark etc for Gamecube-it gets a read error and boots you to the main screen.

but, that about all nintendo has done for the wii to prevent cheating.

and for the DS side, they are getting better. not allowing some pokemon to trade etc.

No more Haxor'd Melee "Wii"-cube battles... good thing I still have my Gamecube.

it wouldnt be unknown if the jerk that runs serebii.net wasnt... a jerk. he said that he knows how to get them but he's not going to release it for a while. and thats one of the resons i bought the game. what a turd.

what about IVs?

like if a pokemon has more then 186 total IVs or more then 31 IV for a single stat.

Will the Wii clasify those as "bad eggs"?
