The patroits did not cheat!

Dont know what you are smoking, but when the league has a tape from the Patriots where they are CAUGHT videotaping the Jets' def. coaches and their signals.......that is cheating. I have never cared for Billy B and now he should be suspended for 4 games. If the NFL suspended an assistant coach 4 games for taking HGH, then Bill should be sat down too! Lose a few good draft picks too...like a 2 and a 5.

I agree, however, your punishment isnt fitting for the crime. Supposely they have been doing this (Eric Mangini knew about it, and wasnt able to catch them last year. However, this year he did.) If that is true and that Bill B. was doing this for that long, I think a longer suspension the 4 games is needed. I would say 1-2 years would be a more approiate penalty as the rumor is that this has been going on more than 2 years and possible since he took over. I also feel that while taking draft picks away, it doesnt really do anything but hurt players coming into the league by reducing the players drafted by X amount. I also think that as it was against the Jets, I really feel that they should get some compesation. I mean I understand if they dont, but still. Also, it was noted that they will most likely not lose a 1st or 2nd Round pick as those are the guarentueed money picks and the players union would have a field day with the Commish if he did that.

The penalties that have been posted here are, IMO, too harsh for what the coach did. He should get the bigger punishment, not the entire organization. But someone suggested a full season, which is absurd. At most, he should get 6-8 games, and fined. The organization should lose their 4th and 7th round picks, and need to learn to keep Bill in line, much like he does to the players(Randy Moss)
 
With allegations saying that he's been doing this since his days in Cleveland then he needs to be suspended for atleast one season. The coach is a representative of the team. How the Coach acts is reflected upon the entire organization. X amount of year penalty for Bill Bellecheat and loss of 1st, 2nd, and 3rd draft picks.
 
i dont see y it matters the video was confiscated during the first quarter and no player or coach saw the tape so it didnt change the out come of the game there is no difference between what my patriots or the dolphins did last year. every team take poloroid photos of both defenseive and offensive plays from the beginning to the end of the play. the nfl analists even think the rule is stupid for what i said above and that if they had been writing the the signals down it would have been legal
THE PATRIOTS DID NOT CHEAT THE NFL DIDNT SAY ANYTHING TO THE DOLPHINS LAST YEAR DONT SY ANYTHING TO THE SUPER BOWL 42 CHAMPS
 
First, don't say things because they are your favorite team(my pick to win it all BTW and not a Pats fan).
Second, I didn't know the Dolphins did the same thing last year. I guess this is a big deal only because they are the Pats. If it were Cleveland, then the league may ignore it. And, since the tape was confiscatted, the penalty shouldn't be that harsh. IMHO.
 
but they are trying to make them forfit the game but the tape in no way changed the outcome.
the dolphins had their def cordinater video tape tom brady's signals and showed it to their defense and they were able to shut the pats out this way because he was sacked every time he tried to pass. AND THE NFL IGNORED IT BECAUSE IT WAS A CRAPPY TEAM
 
i personally never said the dolphins didnt cheat
they did, lets be honest (they are my fav team, so im not bieng baised)
but this thread is about the PATRIOTS cheating

Yes we are. The colts r gonna tear the pats apart. Well it should be a rly good game but anyway right now my top 3 picks for potential superbowlers most definetely COLTS, PATS, CHARGERS. I rly dont c a 4th right now about the 5th/6th game into the season ill look into it.

Last year colts lacked on defense. (Around the ravens, semi-finals and bowl there defense stepped up and they got some defense in the draft a new awsome left tackle and a awsome new WR to make there team more deadly.)

Last year i noticed the pats had everything a team could have except WR'ers. (This year there just as solid as the colts except the colts have better players and better plays)

Last year the chargers got screwed, this year im comparing them to the 06' pats because they have everything a team could have except 1/2 solid WR'ers.

So if you wanna talk about which teams will be the best of the year and make the superbowl. 1 of those teams will make it im not sure if theyre all in the same league. AFC,NFC that is.

1st game of the season for all 3 games they proved pretty good things.
Colts- Basicially just sent a messege were the champs, were the same team as last year but better!
Pats- They still mean buisness and have another potential superbowl trophy to there team.
Chargers- LOL WE CAN WORK WITHOUT LT AND STILL BEAT YOU!!

Overall this season for the nfl is looking rly interesting.
