Hi,

As you might remember, when the Chimchar, Turtwig, and Piplup tins came out a while back. I express that out of the 36 tins I got, all but 1 were damaged. I got some of the new Lv. X tins, and after opening up the first case (9 tins). I was happier than last time. 8 out of 9 were fine. However, after 24 tins total, I have had some major problems again. 8/24 are not mint. I am not worried about cards being replaced but, more concerned about that the problem is still there. I mean I am sure that players who want to collect and only buy 1 who turn out to get a damaged card isnt a good thing. I am just interested in other players/collectors opinions on this topic.

Thanks,
Drew

is POP no longer capable of shipping quality cards without destroying the value of them?

i saw one of these tins open, the infernape lv x was very badly damaged inside
POP, seriously, many of us LIKE our cards undamaged
so,if you could please just stop wrecking them, the appreciation would be widespread

...shut down pokegym?
you know this site isnt affiliated with POP or PUI, right?
silly really
lets shut down the pokebeach, ill ask holystar for some help asap

I don't think POP is necessarily to blame, rather whatever distributor/shipping company they use.

And Magic Umbreon was being sarcastic Dark_Fyre.

I don't care about the condition of the tin. All I care about is the cards inside.*opens infernape tin*

Doesn't every collector have OCD when it comes to the condition of their cards?

I think your OCD about the condition of your cards....

I dont collect tho. I bought them to sell the promos/packs. I cant sell a card that has creases in it, can I? Wouldnt be very nice to do so. Why when I buy them should I expect any less?? If I am paying for a item, shouldnt it be in mint condition?? I mean seriously. I dont think asking for the product to be in the condition it is suppose to be in is asking too much.

JMO,
Drew

As a collector, I would be very upset if a tin's card was damaged if I was only planning on buying one tin. Heck, I'd still be upset if I had that happen and I was buying ten of them. A damaged card is a damaged card. If I were planning on using that card in a deck - I might be less disappointed, but what about later when the deck has lost it's usefulness - so has the damaged card. I'd rather get mint cards, wouldn't you? OCD has nothing to do with that.

I have never had this problem as out distrubters have so far only fudged up on D+P set here as I dont hink my local hobbie store has recived any but I think my local Game had a box that sold out in 2 days the video games fault ill add its officially relessed in the uk and ireland now as we now have adds for it on most chanels. And ill add we do have the distrubter people keep making fudge comments about the place for games.
I have bought 4 tins within the last 6 months and all the cards where fine except at frist as it was my frist pokemon tin did not know how to take out the card right and damaged the edges slightly and sadly I only bought 1 of that tin...... Mine where the european Ex colectors tins where we got the POP 17s 1-3.

Hopefuully these arnt damage when my local game gets them as theey are the only place near me that gets the pokemon tins or other stuff like triple packs[ the D+P ones where all piplups?].
I try to make a profit from this game aswell and the people that buy off me expect mint or they write them off as second hand ........ even if they have been used ina sleved deck once .....

Hopefully I can start a e-bay acount soon.
Simply put I am appalled at the fact that all the americian tin promos seem to be damaged a lot.

If I am paying good money, I expect my cards to be mint. If I wanted non-mint cards, I could go on eBayt and get them for half the price. It's a NEW product, so the item should be in NEW condition. If when I buy my tins (one of each) there are any flaws, I will send the cards to the distributor and request mint copies. I will, of course, phone their customer service line first.

It's a similar thing with GameStop games. When I (rarely) buy a new game, I always request a sealed copy, not a box with a copy that is coming out of a sleeve. I want a brand new, shiny product.

I guess the cards would be in mint condition if they came out of the package since they were minted in such a condition... But I'd still rather have a damage-free mint. I am very particular about the condition of my cards.

=/

Show me where it says "Your card is Guaranteed to be absolutely, one hundred percent, mint condition.

There cards...They're made of paper...THEY CREASE! It happens

I think your opinion is skewed. Your standards are so high when it comes to "mint condition" that they outta sell you proof sets!

If your feeling a sense of hostility, its cause you and your "store" p!66 me off sometimes drew!

Ever sense you tried to screw me cause you called my reverse holo TV reporter "not mint" cause of a scratch so freaking small, i had to bust out the magnifying glass to see it.

Or when you were flipping through my binder going "not mint, not mint, not mint, not mint" do you have any idea how patronizing or obnoxious that is? granted that was long time ago, but it stuck with me. So please pardon me when i hear "the cards aren't mint the cards aren't mint" I think to myself, "yes they are, you just have to take them off the 'drew' scale"

Tell you what. You don't want your "not mint" cards? I'll take them.
