Mystery Gift

You go to the main menu (when you put in the game). It should say "Mystery Gift" before WFC options.
You go in there and it asks where you want to get the gift. From a friend, wireless, or from WFC.

You pick the one you want (wireless for the Manaphy event). Then you will get a "card" saying what gift you got. Then in the game go to any Poke Mart. There should be a guy in Green standing next to the counter. He gives you the gift. Make sure to save before you do this (if you want to experiment with EVs & Natures of Pokemon you get from this), and again after you do this (if you like your Pokemon).
 
ok this where i also get lost ,im trying to get that darn flute
it show when i load the game ,but then what do i do or use to receive it

Not sure how the "Get it from a Friend" option works.

Not sure about "Get from WFC" option either.

As far as Pokemon Battle Revolution. There are special codes in the game that unlock special Pokemon. Such as Surfing Pikachu, Electrivire, and a Pichu with Volt Tackle (there may be more). You get these the same way as you got Manaphy. Just have both games on & go into the "Mystery Gift" option on Diamond/Pearl and choose get wireless option. This is after you enter the codes on PBR. NOTE: There are only 2 "Wonder" cards per game so you might have to delete one to get all the stuff.

Here are the steps for Wireless(this was also how we got Manaphy on Saturday).

Step 1: Choose Mystery Gift
Step 2: Select Receive Gift
Step 3: Choose Wireless Option
Step 4: Say "Yes"
Step 5: Watch as you get the gift
Step 6: Start normal game
Step 7: Go to any Poke Mart (Not Pokemon Center)
Step 8: Talk to guy in Green near counter
Step 9: If it is a Pokemon "gift" make sure you have room in your Party.
Step 10: Save the game before talking to man (if you want to mess with EVs & Natures of Pokemon "Gifts").
Step 11: After obtaining gift, make sure to save game.

actualy i do believe it is 3 wonder cards.

as of saturday, these are the pokemon available via mystry gift:
PBR:
Pikachu w/ surf @ light ball
Electivire w/ egg moves @ magnet
Magmortar w/ egg moves @ charcoal - coming soon

Special events:
Pikachu w/ surf @ light ball - from TCG world 07
Manaphy @ red scarf - from TRU event

That is everything in the USA-with the exceptions of items available via PBR.

Thanks. Any word on when we will get the "mystery items" to be able to track down the 3 Legendary Pokemon we don't have yet? One involves Rt. 224, another an Inn in Canaclave City, and the final one in Mt. Coronet.

i am about 80% sure they arent doing the items, due to the GTS clone glitch/japanese E4 door glitch.

in japan nintendo got wind of the E4 glitch and decided to give the pokemon away, not the item go get them.

when nintendo USA got wind of the E4 glitch, it was fixed before it hit store shelves.

soon after the US release - the GTS cloning glitch was discovered. NOA and NOJ got wind of this and had to stop it, so it was decided that all event pokemon would have a Classic Ribbon, and ban that ribbon from the GTS.

this is one of the great things about the DS/Wii. with Wi-Fi updates and such,almost anything is possible. like the way they banned a CIRTAN DISK from use on the wii. or even add story to a game via update off of wi-fi. update game coding to add items,weapons,pokemon-they could ban any pokemon with the move tackle from the GTS if they wanted too-THE SKYS THE LIMIT!

So your saying we will have to wait till they decide to do more giveaways?

Did Japan get Manaphy? And how long ago was it?

We don't usually get a theatrical release of Pokemon movies any more in the USA. So when the heck are they going to give them out? I don't really want to have to "Cheat" in order to obtain these Pokemon.
 
somthing cool about mystry gift-it has a WIFI gift option that hasent been used yet.

with that in place, they can have a world wide giveaway of the pokemon on the Nintendo WFC server.

also, they like to do events at toys'r'us andthe TCG world championships.

It is worth noting that the Pikachu from PBR has Volt Tackle as well as Surf.
 
I was wondering, can the signal be sent by phone? Meaning if i had someone go to an Event and call me. Have them send the Mystery Gift signal. Could i pick up the signal on the other end?
