Blissey too strong?

As title says....

Most of the TOP4 at BR have at least 2 blissey decks.

Other non Blissey deck is Mario (that has an OK match up against blissey variants).

Discuss!
 
Was LBS too strong? Was Blaze too strong (BAR/RAMBO)? I think time will show us that Blissey is not the end all deck for the season. Look at the last few MA world champs....they didnt play THE top deck that year!

blissey is far from being too strong, there are counters to it. Like colorless resistance, fighting pokemon which there are a lot of, or quicker deck.
 
Blissey can be beastly. There were 3 Blissey decks in my top 4! Blissey is only good because it has so much hit points for a stage 1...
 
Or what about metanite and MSN. Did you guys all think they would dominate worlds. NO because every time new cards come out, the older decks will be thrown out in the trash.

Actually, Blissey is very quick...

Blissey is a interesting card, a lot of combinations are posible:

- Catty.
- Lucario (Believe me, that won a BR)
- Vire.
- Blissey solo.
- New Vire (SW)
- New Weavile (SW)

and more...

Its obvius: Has counters, like everything in the metagame...
 
blissey is very stong indeed.
but i see gengar d/p as a HUGE counter towards it.
maybe even add crobat mt with it.
blissey is a huge stage 1 with 130 hp.
just watch out for the holons wp,bcause if they have it...its GG.
 
1. Blissey isn't winning EVERYTHING
2. The season is just starting
3. Blissey is good for more than just it's HP. The power & attack are both nice too.
4. That said the card also has plenty of weaknesses to exploit besides the obvious.

the power is meh..the atack is obviously the best part..but the hp sure does come in handy....
the weaknesses dont really mater..they run ff....
and if they dont have it..they'll prolly have a wp in there for the free retreat.
and yea,once sw comes out...blissey wont be the main deck imo.
but blissey will have 2 new combo's..maybe even more...
 
Yes, there are.

I am working on several posible blissy counters, but I'm not going to say what they are.
 
when i said faster i also should of said more consistent. Now I know Blissey fans with defend it by saying it's consistent, it has proven so. But is it as fast and consistent as lucario, and kricktune, which IMO are the perfect counters. I know Blissey can run Holon FF for the lucario but they have to draw into to it, there is no way to search it out, while lucario can search out the fighting. Then blissey also has to draw into a Boost to hit Lucario hard enough, and the Lucario Lv X is always helpful. As far as the Kricktune, it's the fastest/consistent deck in the format which can easily 2OHKO the Blissey, while the Blissey has to recover from Wagers if they lose it, windstorm the Cess. Crystal if ran with Delcatty, which is one of the more popular builds, get a boost possibly OHKO the Kricktune. I'm currently building a deck that I have been told by my team members has a very good matchup against Blisscatty, and we have the counter Pokemon for the Lucario variants.

Blissey is more than 130 Hp Stage 1... you should know that already...
 
You could run some meganium D against blissey because he can prevent most of the damage from blissey's attack and can 2hitko blissey.

I would rate Blissey as faster than both Lucario and Krick as far as getting set up. Her power, while not great, does add a bit of speed and helps draw into those Boosts, Holon Energy, and other needed cards.

Lucario level X is nasty vs Blissey ... but it's an extra turn to set up and you don't get stance if CC is already down ... so you are faced with either turning off Blissey's power early or giving them time to use their power & more set up while you use stance. Of course that's provided Bliss runs Happiny and not all do.

I like Lucario more for the bench hiting. That's something Blissey seriously lacks herself. In one game where I was playing Blissey vs Infernape I KO Ape, they send up Catty & upstream for the counter KO. I come back with Boost & a Blissey for 60 but don't get the KO. Then for several turns Delcatty EX is on the bnech with 30 points of damage and I've got no way to snipe her. It's a big downside for the happy egg with Lucario, Prinplup, etc. all roaming around and able to do that.

Well, nobody really runs WP afaik. Most people run FF to make the Mario matchup non-abyssmal.

Blissey is not as strong as people make it out to be. I run a Kingdra EX deck, JUST TO COUNTER BLISSEY. If I see one pop up, I drop a lake Boundary, and 160 damage is dealt to Blissey in one shot. Oops. Cya later, Blissinator. Blissey really isn't a threat in this format, I don't think.
