This card has some great potential. With nearly no max to the ammount of damage it can do with Energy Cyclone, this card could be very hard to handle. The only draw back is consistantly being able to get enough energy in your hand. If you can get the energy this card will do well. 130 HP is good also. It's second attack is ok. You probably, unless you cant get enough energy, will want to stick with its first attack. Delcatty and Magneton work well getting energy, but watch out for Cessation Crystal.

Overall, with the current format i would give this card a 7/10 for modified because of the massive damage it can do, in the right deck.

i did the math max damage is 2340 with power plus weakness strenght charm and 1 prize left and only a 1-1-1 gater

This is an alright card:

Pros:
Good HP
Low energy attack
Can abuse Double Rainbow Energy
Stage 1 form can help get energy cards into the hand
Can deal a lot of damage

Cons:
Has a weakness
No resistance(s)
Mediocre Retreat cost of two
Is a stage two
No Lv.X form
Attack requires a lot of energy cards in hand to really be effective

The verdict: This is a decent card with no REALLY bad cons and no REALLY great pros, so I'll give it 7/10 for modified. This card is playable, unlike most.

Gatr has got alot of hype from alot of players when they first laid their eyes on him and his moves. 130 HP is pretty good as he can take 2-3 hits, which would mean your opponent needs to do 60 or more damage to at least 2HKO gatr. Energy cyclone is such a sweet attack, that will deal out heavy damage depending on the water energies you have in your hand. But the problem is that once you shuffle all of your water energies to your deck, you'll have a rough time getting them back to your hand. Breaking tail for 60 and discarding one card is sweet and it combines nicely with team galactics wager. If you win the bet and you got 6 and hes got 3 and you use breaking tail, your opponent will only have 2 cards in his hand. Weakness to electric is never a good thing, especially when electivires everywhere. Retreat cost is mediocre and switch or warp points can take care of that. Or use mantine if you want to have free retreat cost that way.

Modified- Good card if you build it properly, electivire + lake boundary will give it problems however so be careful. If only the old supporters werent rotated like fisher man, mistys wrath were back. This card would be broken. He does probibly the most damage in the format next to blissey. 8/10

Unlimited- Cards like mistys wrath, fishermen, etc. Can easily make gatr a powerhouse deck. 9/10

Limited- Good card to build around with if you have the full evolution and your building your deck off of just water pokemon. 8/10

Feraligatr MT is a pretty good card, though I don't think he can realize his full potential so far. He has the (now) usual 130 HP for a Stage 2, Weakness to Lightning (so be careful around Electivire), and a Retreat Cost of 2, which is about avergae nowdays. His first attack, Energy Cyclone, has great potential if you can consistently get around 4-5 Energy into your hand to reveal to your opponent, which isn't easy to do consistently. However, once Smeargle from DP3 enters the fray, Feraligatr will get a big boost. His second attack, Breaking Tail, deals a modest 60 damage for 3 Energy along with the ability to randomly discard a card from your opponent's hand.

Modified - 8/10 (Full potential hasn't been realized yet, but it will soon with the SW set release)

Limited - 8/10 (You'll only be using his second attack most of the time, but still a great card here)

Unlimited - 6/10 (Riptide Feraligatr anyone? Aside from him, Feraligatr MT could do well here with the many ways to get Energy into your hand consistently)

Why are you all hyped and do say he has a bad weakness Glacia's Stadium resolves this problem + Rayquaza d (HP #16) whit holon wp in the deck (wich isent that bad against lots of decks) ray d has resistance for mario.

Just play this one whit delcatty + delcatty ex. Tech in an gatr d and get something you want to kill off as active one. Magneton pk could help alot but only his power as you prolly not going to have lots of energy in play.

ummm... wouldnt one more energy do 20 more and strength charm do only 10??

Everyone says it's a great card, but how exactly do you use Feraligatr? What way is there to get enough energy so that its first attack is useful, and CONSISTENTLY so?

1-1-1 Gatr Line,
1 Castform for the energy to attack
1 prize remaining
55 energies
all cards drawn
55*20=1100

x2 weakness 2200.

Yennywho,
I think this card could be a lot of fun, and with the croconaw getting energies, it has potential.

The first attack is obviously good, but the second attack, just attach that other energy and then knock out your opponent and make them discard a card! Okay!

You'll see a couple in tournaments, and it may win a couple of BRs too!

A really great card that has great potential. It works best in a Hurricane build AKA Gatr/Delcatty/Magneton, and can consistantly dish out huge amounts of damage. It's max power in a realistic, and consistant deck is around 280 with out weakness, so it's easy to see why it got alott of hype. Vire is winnable Blissy is far worse. Untill the blissy craze dies out in my area, sadly I will have to put this awsome card away. :frown:

Modified - 9/10 if you have a good build

One really interesting combo with Feraligatr in my opinion would the be the holon phantoms Aerodactyl which makes you take a basic energy out of your deck and put it into your hand.

Arcainedog: It's good, but it's Stage1, that's why it aint's so good... But it can get Energies, it's good...

Gatr MT, one card with 2 Energies attached to, can OHKO everything with 8 Energies in hand...

Modified: 8½ with right build...
Limited: If you get this line, use it! 9+
Unlimited: Nope, there is so many dekcs that are TOO fast for this Gatr... 4½

Feraligatr is definitely an interesting card with a lot of potential. You can go with the obvious delcatty/magneton/gatr deck to consistently dish out high amounts of damage with its first attack, or you can combo it's 2nd attack in a hand disruption deck with something like Walrein or Ambipom and Umbreon*. However, being a stage 2 needing multiple support lines, it dies right now in the currently quick metagame. You can't consistently pull a couple of stage 2's or a stage 2 and a couple of stage 1's right now, at least I haven't seen it done yet.

Modified: 7/10 - potential is there, if someone finds an engine to really speed it up to contend, I would bump this up a bit.

Limited: 7.5/10 - bleh, stage 2. But if you get it out, it basically guarantees you the game.

Unlimited: 1/10 - Doesn't stand up to much of anything in unlimited, and it doesn't even work as a tech with Neo Gatr.

as i have said before, i don't see this as the best combination for this, i'm currently working on a better combo, i ain't giving anything away yet but at the mome i'll say that i ended up with no supporters! no worry how, it just happened, at the deck may work, i gotta start testing first.

This card is preatty good, combos great with Magneton/Mr Stone Project/Delcatty. It's high HP will make it last, 2 reatret cost is ok (they could of gave it 3). This cards in gonna get better with DP3, Smeargle and Suicune will make this deck better.

Modified 9/10

This card got me one BR!

it has at least 3 brs here, more probably to come. I dont understand how you can say it doesnt wina quick meta either... How exactly do you kill more than one gatr with kricket or lucario swarm? You dont

and the blissey matchup looks bad at first but is swung dramatically by good play

^The Blissey match? There are a lot of different Blissey matches, many of which absolutely destroy Feraligatr MT.
