Card sleeves

Everyone told me to get dragon shield sleeves if I was going to get card sleeves. I got them about a month ago and since them almost 10 of the sleeves are broken. Am I being to rough with them or what.

Possibly because I use them all the time and there still good. Are you shuffling sideways or are you shuffling them where the card sleeves can go in to each other?

Well, I recently got some new ones too and they work fine for me. How were you braking them? If the card protector is alot bigger than the card it leaves alot more flimsy space for the protectors to be bent more. You don't want those kinds of card protectors. Be sure when you shuffle you turn the deck sideways, take one have, and put the side of one half on the corner of the other then just push them together once they're connected. I don't remember the card brand mine were but when I remember I'll tell you.

If you can find them, the old Ultra Pro 100 packs with deckbox are amazing. I bought 10 of those things over a decade ago, and I still have about 950 of the sleeves in working condition after 10 years constantly being used in decks and playtesting. The new Pokemon UP sleeves seem pretty durable too...

Face your cards. Make sure they're all facing the same way. It's much easier to prevent splitting when you're going side to sealed corner when shuffling.

yeah just be sure and don't get the 100 packs that have the mirror surfaces. Those are illegal in official pokemon events because they can be used for cheating.

Ah the kind I use is "Players Choice" deck sleeves.

I bought some Player's Choice too. They are very nice, especially considering how cheap they are! The new Pokemon prerelease sleeves are good too. For casual play (like league), I just use penny sleeves , or worn sleeves from tournaments.

Player's Choice is good

the new pokemon sleeves (electivire) are SICK!

They look AMAZING, have a nice color, shuffle really well, etc. Amazing turn-around from the first sleeves they used to release.

I agree. It's really nice to see such an improvement over the Lucario sleeves. Now if only I could get high-quality Lucario sleeves for my Mario deck... and a Riolu coin... and a bunch of new promo Lucarios...

I've tried Dragon Shield, Ultra Pro, the Japanese sleeves (I forget what brand they are), and Max Pro. I don't like Dragon Shield because they feel really, really thick in my hands, which makes it hard to shuffle. Mine have never torn, but they get sticky after awhile (to the point that I don't use them anymore). Ultra Pro is nice, but they tear easily. I also haven't found any color of the Ultra Pro sleeves that I like. The Japanese sleeves feel good in my hand and don't tear that easily, but they too get kind of sticky. And the Max Pro sleeves are decent in that they don't tear easily, they don't get sticky, and they feel good in my hands, but they get marked worse than any sleeves I've ever had. After buying some pink Max Pro sleeves and seeing the way they get marked I haven't bought them again since.

Well, it could be, but are you just handling them to roughly/playing against rough deck cutters? I'm not being critical, but just make sure you take care of them because just because they're popular and high quality, doesn't meen they can't still be ruined soon after purchase.
