Can you take on Mechanicsville Gym? Are you ready? A fun-filled Pokemon adventure awaits you!

The staff at Aardvark Gym, one of the largest leagues in the world, will be organizing a City Championship. Here are a few things to know:

  • Location:
    Aardvark Comics and Games (New Market Plaza)
    29015 Three Notch Rd
    Mechanicsville, MD 20659

  • Time: Sunday, December 16, 2007
    Registration at 11:00 am
    Round one at 12:00pm
    Late players will be given losses for the rounds they missed- no exceptions. Through our TO experience, Aardvark Gym staff has become increasingly efficient in setting up and organizing tournaments. Expect us to start on time. Show up, even if you will be late- remember, Premier events are free; you have nothing to lose! Late entry does not affect your Premier Rating.

  • Format: Modified-Constructed
    There will be deck checks. Make sure your deck is Modified-legal the first time.

    If you don't have enough Modified-Legal cards, remember, Aardvark's is a card store: buy some! If you are having trouble, please talk with tournament staff. They will be make sure you're good to go.:smile:

  • Tournament Style: Age Modified Swiss

  • Admission: Free!

  • Prizes:
    -Standard prizes of course. aardvarkvcg, titan-girl, and I have a tendency to take things to the next level- we will most likely augment the prizes.
    -This is a Premiere Event so you will be playing for a Premiere Rating.
    -A prize for anyone who plays RaiEggs. I love RaiEggs.
    -One Mysterious Treasures booster to last place in each age division.

  • Make sure you come with:
    -Something to write with (to record your wins/losses)
    -Damage counters and coins (or dice) for coin-flipping.
    -A smile on your face

  • Additional Info: Don’t forget to be there on time and don’t forget your POP ID#. If you haven’t become a POP member yet, come early so we can sign you up and give you a POP ID#. Membership is free. If you have any questions about this tournament, post in this thread or PM me.

Sunday again, eh?

This is pretty close to Christmas, and my family usually does a lot of traveling around then. I'll see what I can do, but Lusby looks more likely for me, despite the fact that this is closer.
 
Omigoondness I MIGHT actually make it to this.

Depends on when my relatives in the area have this Christmas-party thingamajigger.

Tara has a job. Sunday is a big Pokemon day anyway. There are various factors for why Sundays are good for us.

December 16th is Boston Tea Party Day!
Just thought everyone should know. You can take that however you want.

I know I missed league in Lusby and will this week too, but I want to make sure everyone knows, I am still going to be here!

I won't be there. I'm satisfied with my performance at CCs this year (1st, 2nd, 2nd, 5th), plus I'm really burned out on Pokemon right now. See you all at MD States...
