Just another one of my dumb ideas

Cloyster + Ampharos. Start spreading up to 80 damage on T2 and then keep spamming them for the rest of the game. Absol ex to spread more. It gives Amphy another type of energy so that it only has to discard 1 at a time.

I don't know about you, but I'm trying it out.

add 1-2 Raikou for further dmg spreading

I thought about that, but Raikou only puts one damage counter on one pokemon, and it needs a LOT of energy to be useful. Ampharos's attack gets a lot better when you only have to discard one energy at a time instead of three.

...And Raikou's attack discards stuff from your deck and has no attacks until it has 3 energy.

The extra damage counter each turn is interesting, but that sacrifices your energy drop for the turn. And that's just terrible.

My only problem with Cloyster is that fragile 80 HP. Kricketune slams those guys pretty hard. It's just.... Not fun to play against Kricketune. ._." Even Electivire is bad to play against.

Cloyster's just 10 HP too short or 1 energy cost too high of being awesome (which is too bad... :/)

Spread is good, as bringing pokemon down to their knees is vital to winning any game. Pokemon have too much HP to be one-shotted nowadays, so you're relying on bench damage to fill in your gaps. Why do you think everyone praises Lucario and people are excited over Magmortar?

THAT BEING SAID, your snipers can't be fragile. Cloyster's mostly dead weight basic, Empoleon's merely average HP on the basic and stage 1, Ampharos relying on your opponent having energies when it attacks, it's not good. (Ampharos has an EXCELLENT body though. Just... The attack is horrid. Any decks using Amphy as a main attacker has problems right off the bat. One of them is fighting weakness :/)

So... The only reason Snipes aren't as nice as you might hope is 'cause of them being oneshotted constantly, and most of them having bad basics (Octillery is a pleasant exception) :/. Blissey's so incredible partially 'cause the basic doesn't ever have death problems. Do any snipers share this love? Not really :/
