Frank really likes prereg so call him at (804) 594-2845 for this one--but not until 12/1--he gets cranky if he has to keep up with this for too long!

All events should begin 30-45 mins after registration times

Note: Decklists will be required and available onsite. Please bring your POP ID with you. If you do not have a POP ID, one will be issued to you at the event. In addition to your deck, players should bring damage counters, randomizers, and special condition markers.

Entry Fee:
FREE

Format:
Modified (Ex Holon Phantoms through DP Secret Wonders including Nintendo black star promo cards 037 and above and POP Series 4, 5, & 6). If card has been reprinted in one of the sets mentioned above the older version can be used. Reprinted cards with substantial changes in text require either an official card dex printout OR an updated card outside the deck for reference. Japanese cards may be used as long as they have an English-language modified counterpart, are played in opaque sleeves, and a card dex or English reference is available outside the deck for reference.

Rounds:
Based on attendance. Parents of players: Pokemon tournaments utilize Swiss rounds so your child will continue to play, win or lose, until the completion of preliminary rounds. This can take a while!! Plan on staying until late afternoon at the earliest! Bring a book, or even better, a deck of your own to play in the event! After swiss rounds are completed, we will cut to single elimination per age group with 1 hour match, best 2 of 3. Size of top cut will be based on attendance with a maximum cut of 4 per age group

Prizes: (Junior, Senior, & Master Divisions)
1st - 18 booster packs, City Championship Medal, Bag of Goodies
2nd - 10 booster packs
3rd - 4 booster packs
4th - 4 booster packs

Every player will receive Promo Card and Pin while supplies last!!!

Door Prizes:
Matt has come through for me again. Japanese DP4 cards (Moonlight Pursuit or Dawn Dash) will be given away at each Virginia CC! Arigatou gozaimashita Matto-san! Each event will also feature a new Japanese deck box or mini-binder, TFG figures, and English Secret Wonders boosters. Hope to see EVERYONE there!!

Excellent! Really looking forward to these, even though I haven't done anything remotely Pokemon-related since the Rockville BR.

Hey, I'd MUCH rather do Midlo on a Sat (and I know Barbara would, too!!!) But, gotta do what Frank wants.....

95% chance I'll be there for Woodbridge and Fairfax. My birthday is on the Gainesville one and I can't think of a better way to spend it than at a Pokemon premier event, but my parents might want me home, or have relatives over or something. If my parents let me go I'll be in Midlothian.

I am looking forward to seeing everyone at Gainesville. PLEASE remember to pre-register. We want to be sure to have enough tables. Thanks - Mary

We've had 78 at a prerelease in Ffax. Players there tend to favor unlimited though, cause Timmy will let people play ANYTHING  (what does ancient mew say, anyway??)

We've had 93 in Woodbridge (at States last year) but CCs run mid 30's usually, so that is what I'd expect. 'Course, I'd love to see 50's at each venue!!

Even though the Midlo one is on Sunday, I think there is a >80% chance I'll be there.

(oh, and I'll be @ league on Friday! W00t)

Yikes! Unlimited? I'm starting to lean more toward Woodbridge now....

Note: that's for his LEAGUE; premier events like CCs MUST use current modified format. For some reason, that tends to drive Fairfax's attendances at events like CCs and BRs down as compared with prereleases (which are ginormous)

I just got invited to a birthday party on the Woodbridge one. It starts at 3 P.M. When is the estimated ending time for Woodbridge? Maybe I can arrive at the party a few minutes late. After all, there are going to be 60 people there, and he lives in a three-story townhouse.:eek:It's not like anyone will notice.
